Forum giveaways is just an additional bonus if lucky to be picked on stream or by dedicated vip host. 

Forum thread is way more legit as they only 1 account is allowed to participate. staffs easily caught those who step on the rules of multi accounting and banned the abusers. 

Regarding to picking up winners . My personal opinion.. I would say.. "familiarity " is one factors to consider when they choose players on the page. Interaction in chat makes them know or recall the player.
