The odds of hitting a 1000x (assuming perfect odds, which we know rarely happens) is 1 in 30,000 balls. You can also hit a 1000x in the first 500 balls, then not hit another one for the next 100,000 balls. That's how variance works. Play plinko knowing you're playing a losing battle, just like slots. Because once you get past a certain amount of balls dropped, you'll feel pot committed trying to chase the 1000x. So lower your bet size if you're really hunting for it.
