Burnitdafrog Posted May 28, 2023 #1 Posted May 28, 2023 Get rid of the arbitrary limit on who can be muted. As much as I would love to cast blame for being denied the Saturday Stake Steam drops. I understand that that is beyond the control of Stake. And the mods, God bless them for letting me rant all day, they can only do so much and its un fair to expect them to police the behaviour of everyone. It's simply not possible. And while I absolutely love shit talking people who think money and success entitles them to automatic respect and praise (I doesn't) And the seemingly endless legion of bottom feeders who when they speak, make you feel like you've slept in a bed that hasn't been thoroughly cleaned for several months (That's my fancy way of saying to them and to you that the beggar problem is out of control and they lack creativity in there approach to being a nuisance and i have mentally compiled them into a single entity.) It's getting a little unpleasant here in the middle. Yes of course. This is a decision to be here. I have no delusions of what the relationship is. However in order to receive certain rewards like rain for example. One must be active in chat, and believe me, I have been more active today than at any time I can think of. Which means that in order to benefit, one is required to be subjected to contempt and condescension from the tippy top of the ego tree and an endless chittering of cockroaches, many of whom I half expect are seated high up in the tree and just playing make believe in their spare time. In any case, it's getting a little bit difficult to endure this, and show restraint, and I don't believe it is at all acceptable to be forced into undue stress. We cant expect anyone to simply cease being a dick, I certainly wont. But there is a simple solution to this issue, and it should be put into work immediately. Coolers have no demographic, no alliances, no identity, but they are identical in their ability to sap the luck out of the room. Negating focus and more specifically the joy we should be feeling as we indulge in our activities here. And we both know I wont be leaving because I like it here, but there needs to be some reasonable intervention to correct this problem, because frankly, it is getting really difficult to find nice ways to tell these people to fuck off. As much as I enjoy writing, they are not deserving of the effort. Get rid of the mute cap. Its existence makes you complicit in subjecting your clients to undue hardship and stress, and it's removal absolves you completely. It will show what I have accepted to be true. That the integrity of the people who work here is second to none. (AND EXPAND THE PARAMATERS. Allow for reasons to be tacked onto the mute, let us help turn this into a less toxic environment. I spend 30 to 40 hours a day (Yes I know what I said) here and I dont expect that to change either. What I hope, is that someone in a position to do something, listens and takes me seriously. Really think about it. When was the last time anyone asked for something that was money? Bitfrog

I'm never active in chat cause even though people are nice to me, I do quite often see people cursing at eachother for no particular reason. And I rather have my peace over some 1$ rain 😌

Explain why it would be difficult to have improvements made on the ability to not only mute, but report toxic behaviors', or at the very least. Afford people the ability to categorize the unwanted interactions, by colour coding them? I don't care what has to go into the programming to make the idea possible. If I knew anything about coding, I'd have already done it and pitched it to them. All I have is ideas. Let the people who have the skills make it real.
