Just this past 2 days bitcoin suddenly jumped from 6.7kUSD to 8KUSD

what triggered this scenario?

uhmm yeah I hope it will maintain or go up 

but rise up "unlimited" is an impossible thing for cryptocurrency haha or super small chance

You've got an idea.  this is one of the cause also. Maybe big whales are doubting the capability of altcoins since the redness of market.

I think it has to do with the Barclays-Coinbase news and that EU Blockchain partnership. So happy to see more institutions are embracing Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. We're getting closer and closer to get Bitcoin as the next generation assets/gold each day.

There was a similar thread on this, my answer is the same, short covering.  I think after hitting the mid 6500s a lot of people who had bet on the price of bitcoin dropping where happy and so closed their positions.  This has supported the price.  Hopefully, we'll get some fundamental good news about bitcoin, e.g. the Mt Gox trustee will announce they have sold all their coins, and the price will really have some power behind it.  Until then, I'm not holding my breath for 10K USD, though I would be DELIGHTED to be wrong!
