Let's talk about "chat jumping" - [global chat?]

Okay, this really grinds my gears so much, I actually decided to post it on here to see if I might have a point, or I'm just mentally ill and don't understand the logic of this completely ridiculous rule (if it is actually a real rule).

I will try to write this as politely and creative as possible to not offend anyone.

So basically we have this rule that chat jumping is not allowed, and whoever does it is gifted with a sexy ass mute by local mods of the respective chatroom, who don't shy away from acting like bloodthirsty dogs anytime anyone puts a foot into their home soil.

On the other hand, you see people from every other chatroom, swarm into English chat, anytime there is high rollers in English, writing the most random messages to get a slice of the pie.
BUT this is somehow not breaking the rules, since English is a "global chatroom", when those people clearly don't care about the chatroom unless there's some big boy/girl/they/them/etc. spending big bucks on mainstays.

So I invite any type of staff to explain the rule in detail, because there is a lot of confusion. Following questions:

  • If chat jumping is okay for them, why not for people from English chat?
  • I speak 6 languages, so I should be allowed in 6 different chats rooms, right?
  • Even if we take English as "global", it's still a break of the rules if mods and normal users from other chats come over for the sole reason of passive begging and catching rain.
  • Shouldn't we be good to go to sports without getting a jump mute? Sports kinda ain't a country and there's still people from English getting muted?

"If we notice you passively begging for funds too, especially after the rain-bot implementation, we also keep the right to mute the users that are there for this reason only, to collect rains."

There are a bunch of users trying to make sense of all this, while nobody really gives any explanation. The same rules should be either in place for everyone or no one. Especially since there is no rains from rain bot in English chat but everywhere else. Which was probably implemented so the "smaller" chat rooms get a compensation for being not as big of a community as English chat, but they still come over to snatch some more.

Add a global chat and ill happily watch everyone jump and be happy and snatch rains from everyone being greedy as they wish.

I'd go as far as saying, users of English chat, since probably the biggest, make up for most cash flow into stakes pockets and is already in disadvantage because of:

  • lower chance of catching rains because of more real users
  • more farming bots as it is
  • no rain bot

So why do we put those users in a worse position than the others?

Should English chat be exclusive and should there be an additional global chat for everyone?

P.s. I'm solely criticizing real jumpers, I love seeing friends from Germany, Korea etc. come in from time to time to talk and check up on us (but they do that regularly, not only when there are winners around.)

Let me hear your thoughts, I'm curious.

I am not sure if rain mechanism is workihg the way you described it later on... I don't find this whole chat jumping rule annoying at all.
The only slight issue to me is the "default chatroom" lack of option. I noticed if my Stake is set to be shown in English -> it will default the room as English, if I set Stake to Polish, default room will become Polish and so on...
The issue is:
- I want to have Stake website default in English AND Default chatroom as Polish which seems not possible as far as I know.
Maybe anyone knows how to view Stake in English but set chatroom to different one by default? Thanks
