I am just curious if btc went to rank number 2 or any rankings way back before? Maybe older folks in crypto knows it in its early stage? If yes, what crypto was in rank 1 at that time?

wry Posted April 20, 2018 #3 Posted April 20, 2018 No, never, not even close. There is a reason many people talk about "bitcoin dominance" as being X% of the entire crypto market. Namecoin and litecoin were early alts, and of course etherium and ripple have become very popular and successful, but Bitcoin has always been the leader. Of course, this may change, but I don't think the coin that will replace Bitcoin has been released yet, though I am often wrong.
