foronan Posted November 25, 2023 #1 Posted November 25, 2023 @Eddie today in the stake chat one of your mods behaved in such an un compassionate and quite unbelievable way in the stake.us chat . This evening in the stake.us chat a young man was upset about loosing. He was in clear crisis mode and was expressing suicidal ideations and sharing them in the chat.. those of us in the chat we’re trying to give words of hope and promise of better things words of encouragement, and also just having conversation with him to keep him occupied from having those thoughts. Yes, obviously the stake.us chat is toxic and so some people were making fun of him but for all in all the most part we were trying to rally behind him and support him in his staying alive. And then the moderator Alexander comes in and instead of allowing this kid to be in the community setting venting his frustrations with us, Alexander decides to mute him and not allow him to speak any further in the chat, then providing him with a link to safe gambling , this was completely and absolutely uncalled for. There is nowhere in the rules of the chat that states that you should not be able to express feelings and emotions about what you’re going through in regards to losing. There’s also nothing about expressing ideation of self harm or suicidal tendencies. This is not expressly written in any of the Chat rules, but yet Alexander claims that he was following all the chat rules, and he was doing his job. no one should ever be isolated when they’re feeling suicidal and Alexander did was completely isolate this kid and keep him away from the community that he was reaching out to in a moment of crisis. This is wrong on all levels everyone in the community chat was asking Alexander to lift the mute to unmute him. Everybody was playing strike, strike strike yet Alexander double down and said he’s doing his job . Who knows what could’ve happened to this kid who knows if that keeping him in the chat would’ve kept him from doing something that he would’ve regretted in the future. However, I do know that your moderators need better training when it comes to crisis prevention muting somebody when they’re reaching out for help, is not in anyway helpful to anybody and could cause more damage than Help. I believe that your moderators need to undergo crisis prevention training if they’re going to be doing that and affecting peoples lives where they do you have no idea what it feels like to be muted when you’re trying to reach out for help and then not being able to appeal it whatsoever. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Your moderators have too much power that are power-hungry. I then reached out to the chat and said hey, I am live on Kick if you want to come hang out with me , please do so and I left my screen name. , please do so, and I left my screen name so that the person that was reaching out for crisis could come and talk to me there. I was the muted by Alexander violating the rules of sharing socials when this is absolutely ridiculous that kick is a part of steak. Why can we not give our usernames from kick into the state chat? That’s crazy to me, and so there I was muted now for 3 days because of Alexander’s power-hungry need to be right I believe that you need to reevaluate some of your moderators and really find out who’s there to help people and who’s there just because they like the power.
onoxygen22 Posted November 25, 2023 #2 Posted November 25, 2023 Fact or Fiction it's depends, it's like crack or coke like sprite and cough syrup or cough syrup and 7 up. Although I have to agree and disagree.Be easy bro
Moderator Faris Posted November 25, 2023 Moderator #3 Posted November 25, 2023 Any messages containing thoughts of self-harm or suicidal ideation are prohibited. Both sites .us and .com have the same policies regarding suicidal threats. Overall, it's not just about Stake.com or .us. Most sites take the same actions when dealing with users who have gambling problems. The account should be suspended and the user should be redirected to begambleaware.org. So it's not about the chat rules, but about the general policies of gaming/gambling sites in general.
foronan Posted November 25, 2023 Author #4 Posted November 25, 2023 @Faris can you please point out to me where in the rules it says anything you just mentioned m. Because either I’m blind or there isn’t any mention of muting or banning anyone for discussing a crisis they are going through or crisis intervention. And instead of agreeing that employees with moderator abilities should take crisis prevention training shows that you are also part of the problem. @Eddie
Brzk Posted November 25, 2023 #5 Posted November 25, 2023 Man, any self harm or suicidal messages should be ban of the chat for sure. Stupid People could encourage it, and other People could think the same way. The moderator did correctly. In Brazil we have a special line Just for it, called Life prevent center.
foronan Posted November 30, 2023 Author #6 Posted November 30, 2023 No one is talking about encouraging suicidal or self harming chat messages. And to say that shows that you too are a problem. What I am saying is that these mods need crisis prevention training and muting someone is not the solution. And I notice that there was no response when asking where exactly in the chat rules it says anything about self harm or suicide. But I digress
foronan Posted December 4, 2023 Author #8 Posted December 4, 2023 @Faris but then someone drops their kick like I did and doesn’t get banned at all … you’re all a bunch of jokes I swear
