How many people actually own cryptocurrency ?

People at CryptoNinjas decided to make a survey to gather lots of informations about people and cryptos and they shared what they found in an interesting article.

They asked to 29.000 persons in 8 countries (big crypto markets like South Korea, Japan, US, Germany, UK, Brazil, China and India) and they found :

• +/- 75% of the people have already heard about cryptos
• +/- 50% know what cryptos really are
• Around 7% own some cryptos and 4% plan to own some soon
• More people are educated more they own cryptos
• The difference between gender is not really significative

Thanks for the info  I was wondering who among those countries really have the huge in numbers knows crypto or even own crypto.

I have read somewhere that in South Korea, almost 40% of people already own crypto.

Damn the percentage of people who have crypto is quite small. But nice to see that a large percentage knows what crypto is

Considering the fact that these are relatively large markets, the % of people owning cryptos is not very high, but that also leads me to think how big the potential is. The 7% that own cryptos after a few years could easily double or triple. That would be good news for the price of cryptos.
