panky161 Posted February 10, 2024 #1 Posted February 10, 2024 Hello Stake community, I hope this message finds you well. Recently, I have encountered a couple of instances where I was muted by moderators without clear reasons, and I would like to share my experience and seek clarification. In one incident, I received a 7-day mute for sending smileys to express my appreciation for certain comments without tagging the respective users. The reason given was "low-quality chat/rain farming," despite my active participation in tipping others that day, ruling out any rain farming motives. Additionally, the moderator mentioned a one-month history of muted instances, leading to the extended mute duration. I believe it is reasonable to expect a warning before a 7-day mute for an action not explicitly outlined in the rules. Furthermore, I was muted 15 days ago for "chat jumping," a term not mentioned in the rule book. If there are specific restrictions on joining certain chat rooms, it would be helpful to have these clearly stated. No warning was provided regarding this rule, causing confusion and frustration on my end. I would like to seek clarification on whether moderators are authorized to issue permanent mute warnings without a prior history of severe violations of similar cases. Such statements raise concerns about the consistency and transparency of moderation actions. I joined Stake for its vibrant community, but these recent experiences are causing me to reconsider my involvement. I believe open communication and understanding are essential for a healthy community. Have you observed moderators actively contributing to and neutralizing discussions regularly? I would appreciate any insights and perspectives from the community on these matters.
