Kargai Posted May 19, 2018 #1 Posted May 19, 2018 Bittrex was considered one of the biggest exchange last year and was the first exchange I registered and where I still hold a decent amount of coins. Recently they relaunch with a new user interface, more "modern". I was wondering how it compete against the new kids of the blocks out there like Binance, Huobi or Kucoin ... and they are currently slapped in the face ! On coinmarketcap they are ranked ... 17th exchanges on 24h volume (14th yesterday). In fact some shitty exchanges like HitBTC or "unknown" one like EXX or CoinBene (who the fuck known about those exchanges ?) are better than Bittrex. Bittrex volume is 92 millions $ in the last 24h, Okex's (n°1) volume is 1.750 million $ almost 20 times higher. They are even ranked 63th there (but i believe it's not true) https://cryptocoincharts.info/markets/info But that don't mean Bittrex will die anytime soon. The main reason is probably because they don't have too much of "hyped" coins that people dump and pump on a daily basis, so the traded volume is lower (people tend to have coin they hold there). It's just recently that they started to add new coins like Polymath, Tron or Steem.
rack001 Posted May 19, 2018 #2 Posted May 19, 2018 I think bittrex is dying too but the dying rate is slow . Last year i checked they were on the top of the bitcoin rich list but now they rank 3rd . It is not a correct way to judge , but it shows that their cold wallet has gone down 50k btc in balance this year only . That means people are withdrawing .So Bittrex would die but i think it would be the at the mid of 2019.
xtinepink Posted May 19, 2018 #3 Posted May 19, 2018 I saw this one too. That there are already more volume in okex, actually more volume than binance too.
barbaris Posted May 19, 2018 #4 Posted May 19, 2018 How many did not try to create a new account on Bittrex, it did not work out.
wry Posted May 19, 2018 #5 Posted May 19, 2018 They are hampered by being located in the USA and their own stupidity. They were very aggressive about doxxing all their customers - they gave no warning - so lots of customers had to verify ID in order to simply get ANY of their coins out. I understand needing to comply with the law, but the way they did it did not engender any trust with the community or potential user base. So I am not too optimistic about them going forward. Poloniex far superior.
rahulkumar Posted October 24, 2019 #6 Posted October 24, 2019 Hey there... Ali saher Posted November 2, 2019 #8 Posted November 2, 2019 I think bitterx is a good exchange and this work very quickly I start when crypto currency then I use few times this site but now I use some other exchange but before some times close some good exchanges and not work so now I think I use again this
cryptofly Posted November 2, 2019 #9 Posted November 2, 2019 I am fun with Bittrex, was one of my first exchanges and there I got experience on trading, and together with Poloniex and Binance there I did my first tradings. I have never got any problems at all, and I can remember long time ago a small issue with the login but that is all. So far I am using and will use it. Just for the record, that advise that reads "never use a exchange site like a wallet" is valuable, and that is what I do, only keep there what I am going to trade nothing more. I really don´t think that site will dead or so, they will probably start to introduce all to a site coin like those someone already mentioned here; they will find the way to keep the track and be in the top. My opinion. Good luck.
