Anth0nius Posted February 26, 2024 #1 Posted February 26, 2024 The Eurovision song contest is a big European tradition where most countries in the continent send a song to compete against each other. The winner is determined by a vote of juries as well as an audience vote. It's an interesting event to watch and many people also take interest on the odds of each participant winning, so betting on this event is also something that gets a lot of hype. I was hoping to see some betting options for Eurovision on Stake, like picking the winner or which countries will qualify from the semi-finals. Sadly I didn't see anything in the site. But hopefully Stake is considering adding it?
SimonLy2 Posted February 26, 2024 #2 Posted February 26, 2024 Me to ! But they Are from USA. So they dont know anything about eurovision
XeroF Posted February 26, 2024 #3 Posted February 26, 2024 It Will come and its the easiest bets ever made. Last year I took sweden at like 11x as soon as I heard the swedish songs that was competing in the country own melodifestival like the qualification round for Eurovision. It was easy to spot Loreen as a winner. When the eurovision started the odds had sinked from 11x to 1.75x
Anth0nius Posted February 26, 2024 Author #4 Posted February 26, 2024 I hope Stake will feature such bets on the platform this year. Event markets like Eurovision are very entertaining to some of us.
Anth0nius Posted March 5, 2024 Author #5 Posted March 5, 2024 I see Croatia first in the odds. Will stake open a market now that other platforms did as well? 😁
Anth0nius Posted March 10, 2024 Author #6 Posted March 10, 2024 Oh I just realized that Stake has Eurovision under the politics category. I could only find it searching on Google... How dumb of me to not think about it lol https://stake.com/sports/outright/politics-entertainment/music/eurovision-song-contest/16917442-eurovision-song-contest
Anth0nius Posted March 11, 2024 Author #9 Posted March 11, 2024 Israel came up with a different song for the competition after their last one was deemed controversial. I wonder if that's going to affect their odds.
donkeydestroy Posted March 12, 2024 #10 Posted March 12, 2024 its not competition winners are selected before performances

Because afaik points are something like 50/50 between judges and the crown and the crowd votes after performances end. Judge vote is announced only after as well.
gregstm Posted March 28, 2024 #13 Posted March 28, 2024 dont know the candidates but I would go blind and pick some transexual person (no I dont have anything against just saying) like last time? or was it miss holland or both? fck knows not sure now
