Kargai Posted May 22, 2018 #1 Posted May 22, 2018 The article is biased but it defend the fact that investing in Litecoin is a great opportunity for the future and why they believe it could reach 5.000$ at some point. “Litecoin’s long-term trend indicates future price might climb up to over $5,000,”believes Michael Serrano, an analyst at Wiki Crypto. Source : https://www.newsbtc.com/2018/05/21/why-invest-in-litecoin/ I personnaly believe Litecoin is a great coin. She deserve the place Bitcoin Cash own right now and its price, so I definitely agree with a much better valuation that actually. But 5k$ ? I don't know. I believe LTC have some marketing flaws who keep the coin at a lower value that we could have expected. Do you own or plan to buy/invest in LTC soon ?
ravenyvolle2 Posted May 22, 2018 #2 Posted May 22, 2018 Well, litecoin has been one of my favorite coins to gamble with but i never actually store them. This is a good read and i might reconsider trading and storing them soon and it has really a good potential.
Han2x Posted May 22, 2018 #3 Posted May 22, 2018 I read some article also about Litecoin. They said that Litecoin will be the next Bitcoin. But I just say maybe. Litecoin is almost the same to bitcoin when it comes to technical details. But that not enough to say that it will be the next Bitcoin. There is a chance for it's price to reach that I guess, but I don't know when. Just like bitcoin we don't expect it to reach what it reach now. But for me I will invest in Litecoin.

For me , etherium has more potential to be the next bitcoin, but then again maybe just behind or second to bitcoin because i think no coin will ever replace bitcoin.:)

Bitcoin will forever be on top. The only way to replace it is to remove it.
Administrator Edward Posted May 22, 2018 Administrator #6 Posted May 22, 2018 I've bought a little bit. Don't see it as much more than hedging against the small chance that Bitcoin will plummet in accordance with other alt currencies. With that said BTC and LTC are so similar, it's hard to see them ever straying too far from each other.
xtinepink Posted May 22, 2018 #7 Posted May 22, 2018 I saw the chart that you posted here somewhere, the one 5years ago chart. I saw litecoin there with other coins that’s already not on its ranking in top 100. And litecoin is being a tough one. So yeah probably it can go higher too.
wry Posted May 22, 2018 #8 Posted May 22, 2018 Always nice to see an old school alt coin like Litecoin getting some press attention. I liked their idea of silver to bitcoin's gold and I think that analogy is appropriate. LTC is very similar to btc, but faster times, and what, x4 as many coins? So I don't see it mooning but it has a use case, as you pointed out, it was basically the original bitcoin cash. If BTC goes up again LTC might do well as a widely accepted alternative. It also has the benefit of its founder still being around and active.
dmbadillo10 Posted May 22, 2018 #9 Posted May 22, 2018 I would invest on LTC. I agree that LTC has still a lot of potential, and is never too far from BTC. Just like most altcoins, its movement is most likely going towards BTC's direction. So its not going to be a waste of time and money. Personally, I can have more sources of LTC now. Especially, it can played now on the other side. 😊✌🏽

BTC exploded but LTC is still undervalued compared to Bitcoin. Like real metal Silver Vs Gold I believe the gap will be less important in the future. Especially when LTC will activate the Lightning Network this year. I'm trying to balance both too. 3 hours ago, xtinepink said: I saw the chart that you posted here somewhere, the one 5years ago chart. Yes, on the 5 years chart it's interesting to see that the only one who survived was Litecoin. So I believe it still can be there in a lo of years with a better price (as almost all cryptos who will survive the next 4-5 years).
Moderator maverick528 Posted May 22, 2018 Moderator #11 Posted May 22, 2018 My opinion is that LTC is not going to rise a lot, that it will keep the relation to BTC of around 1/50 - 1/40 the price of BTC. But I can be wrong of course. After a top price of more than 400, it is currently at 132 dollars each, and is not showing recovery. And the way most investors think is that its just an old coin, that does not have the potential for big profits like new ones.
