Promised 256 got 44$

Hi, I understand that misstakes can happen and we're all human etcetc.

However promising users that everyone eligable will get 256$ and then not delivering is the biggest dissapointment I've experienced in stake.

@SanjaT I support you in your work etc but for me this was very dissapointing.

Hello @b4ng,

thank you for reaching out to us.

Since the Prize pool is shared among the winners, and due to an error of the team in charge, in regards to some games a much lower amount of players was automatically deemed as eligible, and therefore winning pool was divided with smaller number of players.

After re-checking Promotion, and adding all the winners, the Prize pool is shared with more players, therefore value per claim is lower.

Once again, my apologies for the inconvenience we have caused, and thank you for understanding.

hello Sanja ...what kind of bullshit is this? Yesterday you gave a price in the forum so that everyone who is not taken into account and still gets the 256 dollars! I think it's cheeky and very unfair to all players... 78 people got $256 and we only got 44...

that is the most disappointed thing though, @SanjaT should've known that something was wrong when only 78 people was on the list for last weeks lvl up, but its the amount that she said everyone will get if we were eligible to receive that triggers everyone.

It was literally 3 outcome of this situation and u chose the worst one.

1. the ones who were on the list, claimed, got 256$, the rest gets 44$, then u wouldve gotten flamed, because 30 others got more than the rest of us

2. admit your mistakes and man up to it, give ppl who were eligible det 256$ that u promised (lets be honest, 95% of us gonna gamble it right away anyways LOL )

 

3. Saying we would get 256$, then we also expect to get it, error or not, instead of getting frustrated players like u guys are getting now.

Ive heard some people have quit playing at Stake because of this. Its not a good thing to promise 256$ to everyone and only pay out 44$ .

@SanjaT You should have not promised all players $256, after you made that promise, people played their balances expecting that amount when the coupon comes out. lose $200 expecting to get it back on the promotion, and then get screwed over. You represent Stake and shouldn't make promises that are then taken away. You could have simply said there was an error and it will get corrected within 72 hours. Instead you made a promise that was actually a lie, that breaks players trust with Stake.

The problem is that you are willing to lose $200 since you are getting that back, literally 0 IQ move

I don't think people are being mean to her, as they are venting their frustrations for being flat out lied to. At some point you have to own up to your mistakes and make things right. Mistake 1 was putting out a coupon with 78 players only. Ok fine, few got lucky to claim it. All she had to do was say, "there was an error guys, the correct list and coupon amount will go out to the winners shortly once we fix the issue" and it would have been fine. But no, it was stated publicly that EVERY PERSON who COMPLETED the promo would get $256 and then after a really long wait, we got $44. When there is an error with weekly, coupons, or whatever it is, stake eats it because its whats best for business. This was 100k. By the time this message is done guess what, they are +100k already. oops, another $100k in their pocket already after writing this. It's really bad business to compound mistakes like this and not do the right thing so I think its only fair people are voicing their opinions and frustrations cause MAYBE something would be done.

We don't know maybe she was told that, but after discussing with whoever is above promo team, they changed plans, blame Eddie not her, that is all.

You are wrong, in some countries 250$ can be more than a monthly salary, its normal for the people to be mad, but they maybe should read promo rules.

where do you draw the line? $20? $250? $2500? $50000? How does the amount change the fact they said one thing, yet did another, thus lying to their loyal player base and not caring one bit? Seems like you are the only one taking this stance so maybe worry about yourself instead of others.

Its wierd that stake don’t man up for the mistake Sanjat did when she posted that phrase. 
 

Telling Sanjat to do the right thing wont help, she most likely already asked if she can pay out the $256 to the elegible people but the higher ups said no. 
 

Maybe Eddie is not happy enough crypto skyrocketed last week and feel 100k is to much to give away so he or whomever is in charge rather takes the backlash.

Its actually quite absurd this situation, thats like a bonus drop for them but they rather have this situation then pay up. A bonus drop that they give up multiple times a week. 
 

Im not affected by this but Yeah I dont really know what to think of stake anymore…

Guys what if @SanjaTtried to get us the nice payout by saying that we all will receive the $256. But then the stupid marketing/promotions team said “nah fuck them, we need to conserve $$ so we can send out random $200-$2000 bonus emails to accounts that are gold ranked and lower. Just like we did last year”. Now SanjaT seems like the enemy even though maybe she was the only person who was actually trying to help make stake treat us all like equals by giving us the same payout they gave the original 78. Sadly stake doesn’t care about fairness or equality. Don’t be afraid to spread the word!
