Ranking in the vip promotions

Hi @SanjaT and @NikolaRa,

In the VIP promotions (Dice this time) is mentioned as ranking order:

1. Prizes will be determined by who hits the most of the unique given multipliers. The competitor with the most unique multipliers will   take 1st place and so on.

2. In case of a tie, the user with a higher total multiplier amount will be given the advantage.

3. In case of a tie again, the user who posted/edited their entry first will have the advantage.

I assume if the unique multipliers and total multipier amount is equal, rule 3. means that the person who edited or posted first wins.

So for example if other persons posted first, but edited the post later, that edit date will be used as date and time and someone posted later but edited before the other edited his post will win?

Thats seems to make sense to me, since the person hit and posted it the endresult first eventually then others after the edit.

Is that correct?

To clarify it a bit more:

If someone edited his post, I assume the date of edit will be used to compare and not the post date?

Otherwise it would not make sense, someone who just claim first post in the thread with a blanco text and add her/his bets in the end, would win of someone who hit it all earlier.

And is the post date will be used, which makes no sense, why even post the word 'edited' in the third rule?

I think it will be the edit date, but I just want to make sure by asking it.

Thanks for your reply.

Hello @SalsaBotanera,

thank you for reaching out to us.

We always check who posted bet IDs first, and what exactly users have posted then (if the post has been edited during the week), because Stake staff can see the whole edit history.

So we always check everything thoroughly before we make a winners list, and we can assure you that prizes are always shared fairly.

Kind regards,

@SanjaT

Hi @SanjaT,

What I already was afraid of, happened.

You say you always check thoroughly the whole edit history.

How is it possible that the person who added his bet on sunday (24 march) is placed above me ( who edited the post on 19 march)? The person above me hit that 1100x on 24 march, and edited it way after me.

Person above me:

So can you explain me how its possible I am not rank 3rd, since the 3rd rules applies which is:

In case of a tie again, the user who posted/edited their entry first will have the advantage.

Thanks for your reply.

Hello again @SalsaBotanera,

User who posted an entry with valid bet IDs first has an advantage.

What we check when we see that post has been edited is that whole post is valid. It will not count if user posted something else than valid bet IDs, just in order to make an entry as soon as possible so he can edit it later and say that he posted an entry first.

Regards,

Ok @SanjaT,

So next time I could post the first BetID as soon as possible (first minute after thread opens), and add the other multies a minute before the end of the challenge. And it will still count as if i posted the whole post first minute?

I just want to make sure for the next time.

Thanks for your reply.

As long as you post valid bet ID first, you are good to go.

For example, if you are posting bet ID in The Return of the King promotion, you can edit your original valid post as many times as you wish (if you hit higher multiplier during the week). You can edit it whenever you want, as you said - a minute before the end of the challenge, and if someone has the same multi as you, but he posted it after you, you will have an advantage.

You are very welcome, let us know if we can help with anything else :)

Cheers!
