Are paying bonus destroying the fun of playing slots?

My perception and experience is that paying bonus that you can buy on a growing number of slots are proof that

1- the outcome can be predetermined

2-they are purely a mega money making feature for the editors

3-that the fun of gambling is slowly but surely moving away

4-non bought bonus on these machines are few and far between

I'm glad it's not just me who feels that way.

Overall, I also feel that they rarely pay out more than the actual cost of the bonus, which in my view defeats the purpose.
