jaxonfnixon Posted May 20, 2024 #1 Posted May 20, 2024 I don't know how it happened I was gaming than all of a sudden my balance took a massive dip and I realise someone has made a withdraw. I don't know how they also manage to get the email code. But I quickly change password and remove a session in setting that was not mine. I quickly went to live chat and it took them ages to respond and I told them what happened and if the money was recoverable. She goes my account has been locked now and I need to email recovery. I have to go through all those questions and towards the End he said yeh they won't be able to recover the money. If U follow the blockchain you can still find where the funds went to. It ends up in someone binance account with a large amount in their balance. Can't stake do anything at all to recover the money? Weren't they able to recover there money when they got hacked? And stake help are hopeless as usual make me waste more time
ScrappyTitans Posted May 20, 2024 #2 Posted May 20, 2024 This happened to me once. I was new to stake, hadn’t turned on 2 factor and kept getting this call from telegram stake vip. Looked legit but I wasn’t answering it because I was playing plinko and up like $400 so I’m in the zone. Well, I become annoyed enough to answer it and literally the moment I did, my ETH balance disappeared. I think I was compromised by some telegram Channel that mimicked Stake for a weekly or something and go to the website, sign in and nothing ever happened. I thought the mirror was no good but apparently I had handed someone my user and password… they waited 6-7 days until I had some money on my account and immediately the calls came. Prob wasn’t even a person, but a bot. sucks man I feel ya
ExuBlesseD Posted May 21, 2024 #3 Posted May 21, 2024 My brother had 2000 stolen from their wallet, someone hacked his auth and changed email, password and phone number so he can't do anything.
