Sarha_Jenny Posted June 15, 2018 #1 Posted June 15, 2018 Ripple to invest in the University of Texas at Austin, which will the first university to receive fund, over next five years in schools’ blockchain technology research.Read Detail info: https://coinpedia.org/news/university-texas-austin-receive-fund-ripple/
Snike Posted June 15, 2018 #2 Posted June 15, 2018 I find it awesome that ripple is going public and helping out a university! Good cause, probably even better results!
Schrodinger Posted May 3, 2019 #3 Posted May 3, 2019 Academia has traditionally been a critical driver of technical innovation. Our support of McCombs is an acknowledgment of the important role the school has the potential to play in advancing our understanding and application of cryptography and blockchain technology. Thats a fine step!
Kate Posted May 4, 2019 #4 Posted May 4, 2019 Well there is nothing much to see from this because ripple is investing if it was any other coin then it would understandable but since it is ripple it is just for a popularity spread and nothing else.
Eben Posted May 5, 2019 #5 Posted May 5, 2019 That's great, there are many institutions interested in crypto sphere and blockchain technology, hope we'll keep growing step by step
bmg Posted May 6, 2019 #6 Posted May 6, 2019 This is the positive news that I like to read about when it comes to bitcoin. We alway read so much bad news so its awesome when something like this comes along .
williamshennie9 Posted May 6, 2019 #7 Posted May 6, 2019 I can't believe i didn't see this article before! This is awesome news from ripple's side. I hope their decision rewarded them in the long run. It shows strength from a crypto to provide this type of funding to a university. Great job Ripple!
CaptainLorca Posted May 6, 2019 #8 Posted May 6, 2019 That would cover a lot of tuition of the students :‘D.. if they invest it into future technology, go for it.
Kayzor Posted June 19, 2019 #9 Posted June 19, 2019 This is really great news to see that University has recieved more then $2 Million dollars from the ribble.I would say this may the new strategy of marketing from the ribble cryptocurrency to compiete the bitcoin which I have checked on the https://cryptolinks.com/cryptocurrency-news site and checked some latest information about the crypto currency.
wry Posted June 19, 2019 #10 Posted June 19, 2019 This is good news what's ironic is that UT-Austin does not know what they are going to do with the money! Quote However, McCombs School of Business does not yet have a firm plan for how it will direct these funds, said Cesare Fracassi, an associate professor of finance. I also like how this is part of a larger initiative that will distribute 50 million USD total to universities. It has already helped other schools such as Princeton and MIT. I hope they reach out to some smaller schools around the world, their funds could have a disproportionate impact. I also hope it doesn't all go to business and economics schools.
cointikka Posted June 19, 2019 #11 Posted June 19, 2019 This is a marketing gimmick by Ripple. Why will a centralized currency invest in Blockchain?. Only to promote its agenda. Good for the students and good for the university. I foresee Facebook doing the same in the future in the name of Libra.
BLXN Posted June 20, 2019 #12 Posted June 20, 2019 hey, radness - that is a solid investment .. i think it would be wise of investors to pick up on Ripple. Think in terms of ripples.. =D
