Chicken because when god ask Noah to create the ark one of gods said that to bring a pair of each animals means 2 chicken 1 male and 1 female chickens not eggs

Ok so i have always looked at this question this way. Its like asking what came first, The Child or the Parent? 

Well as many have pointed out, you cant have a child without the parent. No matter the circumstance. It just cant happen, just how something cannot come out of nothing. I mean unless there is a belief that the chicken started out as some kind of organism that later cucooned in an egg like thing. and through metamorphisis became a chicken. like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly.
