Update from Stake Poker support regarding the Centurion Warm Up – Phase 1 situation:
They confirmed I finished 35th out of 233 players, but according to them only 34 players qualified for the final phase.
Their explanation is that 15% of 233 equals 34.95, and because of that, 35th place was considered “just below the threshold.”
They also confirmed that qualification is automatic for players considered inside the top 15%, and no ticket is issued manually.
The issue is that 34 players are not even close to being 15% of the field — 34 out of 233 is only 14.59%.
There was also absolutely no clarity anywhere in the rules or tournament lobby explaining that the qualification number would be rounded down instead of up, which is why this whole situation feels very unfair.
I’d really appreciate the community’s support and visibility on this situation.
Stake Poker support confirmed that I finished 35th out of 233 players in the Centurion Warm Up – Phase 1, but they denied qualification because only 34 players advanced.
Their reasoning is that 15% of 233 = 34.95, so the system rounded down to 34 players.
The problem is that 34 players are only 14.59% of the field, not 15%, and nowhere in the rules or tournament lobby was it explained that percentages would be rounded down.
I’ve already escalated the issue because I genuinely believe the communication around the qualification system was unclear and unfair.
If anyone else thinks this should have been handled differently, I’d appreciate any replies, opinions, or support so this can hopefully get more visibility.
