Thank you for responding, but this does not address the actual issue I raised. The moderator who muted me is the same person who was actively using and allowing the derogatory “gay/ghey” comments in the chat. That creates a conflict of interest, because the person participating in the behavior is also the one deciding the punishment. I was not “attacking others.” I was pointing out that using “gay” or “ghey” as an insult is offensive and discriminatory. Instead of addressing the behavior, I was muted by the same moderator who was contributing to it. That is why this feels like being silenced rather than being moderated fairly. My mute cannot be separated from the context, because the context is the problem: discriminatory language was allowed, and the person harmed by it was punished. I am asking for this to be reviewed by someone who was not involved in the incident, so the situation can be looked at objectively. Hello, again! I need to be honest — as a gay person, it’s extremely hard to believe that Stake takes this issue seriously when what happened today is exactly the opposite of what an inclusive platform should allow. I reached a point where I couldn’t ignore it anymore: users and moderators were using “gay” — or “ghey” — as an insult, openly and repeatedly. When I pointed out that changing the spelling doesn’t make it any less derogatory, the same moderator who was allowing it (and participating in it) muted me for two days for being “offensive.” That is the definition of victim‑shaming. I wasn’t attacking anyone; I was calling out language that targets my identity. Instead of addressing the behavior, I was silenced for speaking up. I don’t understand how I’m expected to trust the moderation system when discriminatory language is tolerated, but the person harmed by it is punished. I’m asking again for this situation to be reviewed seriously — both the mute and the conduct of the moderators involved.

I’m writing raise a serious concern about how LGBTQ-related language is being used and moderated in the chat. I am gay, and I regularly see the word “gay” — or intentionally altered versions like “ghey” — used in a negative or mocking way. This is already difficult to see, but what shocked me was that moderators (including Jovans and Ivana in this instance, though others have participated before) were joining in or allowing it to continue. This kind of language reinforces harmful stereotypes and creates a hostile environment for LGBTQ users. If the same comments were made about someone’s race or ethnicity, they would be removed immediately. I don’t understand why it is treated differently when directed at gay people. When I spoke up about how offensive it was, I was met with more insults from both moderators and other chatters, and then muted for two days. I was not attacking anyone — I was explaining why the language was hurtful and inappropriate. Being silenced for calling out discriminatory behavior is extremely upsetting. I have deposited and played on Stake because I believed it was an inclusive platform. Right now, it feels like homophobic behavior is being tolerated, and that LGBTQ users who speak up are punished instead of protected. ive appealed the mute on my account but warted to reach out to othet users who i am sure now have been in my position before. No user should feel targeted or dismissed because of their identity, and I hope Stake takes this seriously.
