You wanna say something, but you're not saying it right.
We here are not "old" players, but active players, ones who are still depositing and have monthly/weekly income in the sense of salary or some other income. For every casino it is extremely important to keep the current playerbase.
Old players are inactive players - those who stopped playing. Now interesting part here is why would they send huge bonuses to these inactive players who possibly gave up on gambling altogether or most likely stopped playing because they have no more money?
I would understand new players also, but this was not acquisition move, they gained 0 new players, maybe reactivated a few old ones.
To me this seems like:
1. Accidental mistake - marketing team or the system/software they are using messed up something and sent emails to wrong people
2. Intentional mistake - they gave out 50-100 of these bonuses, maybe spent a 100k, and look what happens - everyone is talking about bonuses and Stake.
