Lillyflow Posted July 18, 2018 #1 Posted July 18, 2018 There is a comical thing that happens when people congregate in any social setting. They usually will develop a dialect of their shared language and it changes over time, sometimes so much so that it becomes hard for outsiders to understand. Stake Players - and all bitcoin / crypto gamblers have a unique vocabulary. What words or phrases do you consider "Stake-isms" in gambling online? For example - Badger (and allegedly Chief) created "Grrr" to signify a bad luck streak - and the term made its way into the habits of all of us. So the first stake-isms that came to mind are here: Grrr - origins are rooted elsewhere but it has migrated here. Rish - somehow this replaced the word rich. Halp - instead of help. I think this one sort of pokes fun at a particular type of begging, and it is seen daily, most often as a joke. Name a few words or phrases that are from your online gamblers journey.
Philip74 Posted July 18, 2018 #2 Posted July 18, 2018 Nice topic. These come to mind: Rip - when someone bet a large amount and lost it, usually quite fast Bust - very commonly used when there is no balance left Depo - when someone makes a new deposit in stake Rain - when someone wants to receive a tip, usually they ask for rain Rh - roll hunt, a game initiated usually by mods, in which all players play a specific game trying to hit a specific number or requirement
xtinepink Posted July 18, 2018 #3 Posted July 18, 2018 mutecoins - most well known coins on stake, these coins are given by mods and supports to players who always begs. 😜
Cogmaster Posted July 18, 2018 #4 Posted July 18, 2018 Licking- when player passive begs a highroller
wry Posted July 18, 2018 #5 Posted July 18, 2018 Now this is a GREAT topic!!! Kudos @Lillyflow!!!! You already got the first one I thought of, the infamous Grrr popularized by two of my favorite users. I also agree with what everyone has written. I'd add: stop passive as a common jibe against those that appear to be passively begging, though it seems an exact definition of passive begging remains elusive. bye forever as a failed effort to get attention, the chatter be back in 2 - 5 minutes or less. And while I'm not sure this counts the frequent !XX bot calls. EDIT: How could I forget: Nice Flame! To any high roller appearing in chat!
Lillyflow Posted July 19, 2018 Author #6 Posted July 19, 2018 @Philip74 lol 😂 great examples indeed! @xtinepink Love ❤️ you and I bet you never get the mute button. Your right though- this is a Stake thing for sure . 😝 @Cogmaster the famous “good lick” greeting! Yes! @wry spot on. I knew I could count on you for a few stakeisms. 😉

stimubate Posted July 19, 2018 #9 Posted July 19, 2018 That is what is up - way to get attention without having anything to say or contribute to the current conversation or events Also - That's what's up, That's right, Das Riiiiigh, Wadu Hek!?, Waka Waka, Woot Woot, Get it!, Get it in!, Knowhaddamean Verne?, Knowhaddamean Jellybean?, and the face 😮
Moderator ThugStream Posted July 19, 2018 Moderator #10 Posted July 19, 2018 Nice topic, These are all common words I remember now but there is more a lot. Will add more, 👍 Noob, Nub, Nubie-Bubie (Newbie) Grrr, Busto (Busted/lose) Noice(Nice) Rish Bish (Rich Bitch) Steak (Stake) Ded af (Chat dead as fk) Skem (Scam) Woot (What!). Goodluck Thanks
Etude Posted July 19, 2018 #12 Posted July 19, 2018 Hi (insert favourite users/friends username) !!! <-- exclaimation points is a must to signify pure excitement! !btc !cv !seen Insert (username) pm pls
xtinepink Posted July 19, 2018 #13 Posted July 19, 2018 Fake Flame - this when someone tries to achieve a flame with a very very small payout. 😆 Russian mute - a trivia game, you will be muted once you call out by mod and then you answer a trivia wrong that means you will get a mute instead of a satoshis (correct me if I am wrong with this)
Lillyflow Posted July 19, 2018 Author #14 Posted July 19, 2018 😄😅Surprised nobody mentioned these: Lawl Lel Godloft, Cutie, Confirmed. This format can work with all users - in funny moments and in serious ones. (username) (descriptive word), confirmed. Tilt ( playing emotionally to catch up from loss) #Giveaway1 or 2 or 3 - this is a twitch + stake stream common phrase Boom (to signify a huge win) Bro even if it is a girl... guys you should stop this. Licious - as the end of any name. Usually used by the ladies. Lorilicious, Furlicious, Badgerlicious, Dubalicious, Christylicious - or add to any name belonging to someone worth adoration and love. I know there are more! These are awesome so far.
Philip74 Posted July 19, 2018 #15 Posted July 19, 2018 Thought of one more I like very much: Corner - When someone has won a trivia or roll hunt twice, they usually go to the corner (meaning they can't play for a 3rd time) and also Kudos - When someone wants to praise someone or something (i imagine this is used in other chats too - not stake specific)
Community Manager Stake Staff Posted July 19, 2018 Community Manager #17 Posted July 19, 2018 Amazing topic, @Lillyflow, dunno if it is because I love language in general or just interesting per se Anyways, let me see what I can add to this, you guys covered the majority up, hehe Riperino, and busterino are nicer ways to express the loss, almost sound posh and Renaissance-like @HumberRolls is famous for its Bad Girl/Boy comments too, we all like to wave to each other when greeting o/ and I would love to see that < 3 on chat fixed too Until then - ♥ (alt + 3 on numeric keyboard)! 🍀
Sportsbook Support Darko Posted July 19, 2018 Sportsbook Support #18 Posted July 19, 2018 There are some that prefer to call High Rollers - Boss... Same ones that use Sad Day too often...
Furlicious Posted July 20, 2018 #19 Posted July 20, 2018 Ahhhh hahaha! Thank u for brightening up my day with your comical topic, Loriliciousss!😁 Your advice given to the guys on their "Bro" salutation alone is good enough to make me burst out laughing and roll over my bed back & forth.😂😂😂 I think you guys might have missed out the following commonly used abbreviations in the chat rooms like FML - F**k My Life WTF - What The F**k LOL - Laugh Out Loud NO offence really but what's with this negative word BUST repeatedly seen posted in all chat rooms..(Makes me roll my eyes seriously) its not as if it's gonna help shoo your Bad Luck or show any glory in losing a game round. Please Guys, Move On! Its U yourself who have chosen to Bust your games with your own expectations. Stop Blaming the site "Rigged " or throwing tantrums with offensive insults 🗣️(surprisingly the guys portray the role of princess👸 in the gambling world) 😂 What about those times when House edge is in your favor? You then proudly show off to the world without appreciating the site who are actually one of your chance creator for your Huge Windfall but of course sadly, they are also the creator of Downfalls. But well, we are talking about gambling risk, we are solely responsible for our own actions.. Oops! & I think my bitch mode is on now! Lmao! ⏭️ Anyway, thank you v much, Lorilicious, for your hilariously well created topic for me to bitch in.. hehe! Good Luck & Stay Positive, Stakers! 😉
Bigmann23 Posted July 20, 2018 #20 Posted July 20, 2018 Why does it say my was mentioned when its not here? Also the following two I take credit for: " COUGH " and " : ) NOD "
KinAniK Posted July 20, 2018 #21 Posted July 20, 2018 I often use " Sad Month " lol , mostly for fun 😛
Lillyflow Posted July 23, 2018 Author #23 Posted July 23, 2018 Did someone already say “break bed” “love chatbot” “Anything with tude at the end”
wilbur Posted July 24, 2018 #24 Posted July 24, 2018 Staaaaahp- instead of stop; during roll hunt, trivia or when there's a spam in chat
PuffCloud Posted July 24, 2018 #25 Posted July 24, 2018 "how 2" haha what about that one? it count or nah?
