ashvi Posted September 14, 2024 #1 Posted September 14, 2024 Betting can be an emotional rollercoaster, especially when you're on a losing streak. But staying emotionally balanced is key to long-term success. How do you handle the ups and downs? Do you have any personal strategies to avoid chasing losses or betting impulsively after a big win? Let's talk about the psychological side of betting and how to maintain a level-headed approach.
CainK Posted September 14, 2024 #2 Posted September 14, 2024 I have a somewhat odd way of doing it. Basically I will deposit $20, and I will throw it all either on Keno, Limbo or a Bonus Buy. The Bonus Buys are riskier because it means you basically need to hit 100x immediately to even be considered in profit. Once I'm above my initial deposit, I will vault my deposit, and play with the remains. Eg, $20 Bonus Buy turns into $32 win, vault $20, I got $12 to play with for the remainder of the session. From that point on, I know that the money that I'm playing with is all-profit money, and I typically don't get mad if I lose it or stress about losing it. Obviously, the house edge will always go in favor of the casino but I know I'll get it back eventually, and it sort of results in a nice level-headed approach when it comes to playing slots. For the times that I don't make any money by doing my initial strategy, I can't lie and say that I don't stress about it because I do, but I come to the realization that if I was willing to deposit this money then obviously I can do without it, but it would be really really nice if I could make it back or double it. I also won't lie & say I've thrown some money into the casino which I realistically couldn't afford and hoped for the best, only to come out on the other end and have my balance be at or close to $0 - and I think at that point for me, it's a learning point and usually induces a break for a couple days / next pay-check. I'm relatively new to gambling on a occasional basis, so as a new player there's still some times where I need to take a break or accept defeat, but gambling gives off that Euphoria that every gambler gets when they do hit a win, even when it's a smaller bet like $0.20. I think for safe bets though, until I'm making as much money as what these Content Creators are making, I will always do low deposits and look out for best outcomes. When it comes to the weekly and monthly bonuses, I only signed up end of August so I've only got to experience one weekly and one monthly, and they totalled out to $20, and in both cases I doubled it and left - I think that's honestly a good way to do it without going overboard. It's free money, after all - make the most of it.
