Chat requirements?

Hello! Here comes another beginner question. I know that you have too wager a sertain amount of btc for being able too use the chat. But my question is can you wager ltc instead for the same value or does it have too be btc?

i think yes  can be  any coin worth 0.001

Hi There! Great question. The chat requirement allows stake to control the spam accounts and keep the chat nice and clean for us users. The minimum wagered should be over 0.001BTC. But if you have other currencies, it should be equivalent to 0.001BTC. 

 

E.g 0.001 BTC = 10.142 LTH

Hey guys  This limit has been lowered. In order to use chat you should have 1$ worth BTC, LTC or ETH wagered on your account. You can easily check current wagered amount under Account/Statistics and switch between currencies. 
Also, you can try chatting and there will be a notification shown above with the current amount of BTC you supposed to wager.
Just as Captain said, this requirement is necessary to keep chat manageable.

Not really. I mean, for sure the limit wasn't lowered right now, so you should've noticed already a spam increase before. There are simply people who don't chat at all, especially new ones that are "shy" or the ones that still don't really know the community that well

yes  new  one  are  shy and  old  one  are  danger  and  renowned  spammer

I like this change a lot so thank you @Marija!  I especially like the notification that tells you exactly what is needed.  Should make Stake more new user friendly.

The uptick in spam is driven by the rainbot in my view.
