Community Manager Stake Staff Posted October 15, 2018 Community Manager #1 Posted October 15, 2018 Greetings, Stakers! 😎 Vsauce 1, 2 and 3 have always been among my favorite YouTube channels, and for a good reason, they have a high quality content and a variety of topics that they cover daily. I bumped into this one just by accident and it drew my attention just with the video art, since those cards are so unique and colorful 😁 It is a bit lengthy one, but I promise you - totally worth it! Not only it touches the topic of the flaws of Martingale system, explains the simple "maths" behind it, plays plain Blackjack in the video, but it also shows this funny lil' fella robot, called Vector, which I now desperately want to have!!! 🙈 Enjoy!!! 🍀
lolipant Posted October 15, 2018 #2 Posted October 15, 2018 yes, imo it is better to play an equal bet rather than progressive bet on blackjack. because 1. you will hit the limit eventually (either casino cap or max amount of your balance) 2. to get most out of blackjack you need to both play split and double, which will screw your martingale plan since if you lose, the next bet must be 4x, and you can't do a 4x bet if it is your semi-last bet

ScooterPi Posted October 16, 2018 #10 Posted October 16, 2018 Thanks for sharing Bojana!! I've never heard of this youtuber before. Will check out some of these videos. Guess I gotta do some youtube surfing again, lol. I also really like those cards.....and the lil bot too!
jortdeut Posted October 16, 2018 #11 Posted October 16, 2018 It is a nice strategy to win some cash, but there is a risk to loose everything. A 11 loose streak would literally rip all your money 💀
ceastem Posted October 16, 2018 #12 Posted October 16, 2018 thank you for this bojana! it's nice to hear some explanations and a few maths lol. with all that i still hate martingale cause it ripped off most of my earnings haha

Tipbot that has a lot of moneyyy, and that can be an important detail. And Rainbot that is very very generous with everybody.

Dan Posted October 30, 2018 #19 Posted October 30, 2018 Was trawling through YouTube when I stumbled across this. I think it’s a valuable resource for understanding the problems with the martingale strategy.
Moderator Flan Posted October 30, 2018 Moderator #20 Posted October 30, 2018 Like people said about martingale. I don't really like martingale system if you don't have enough money to bet. Well I got 9 times of unluckiest strike of bust. So, martingale easily bust my money. I would believe feeling that lead me to the win or busted 😅
jortdeut Posted October 30, 2018 #21 Posted October 30, 2018 I already saw a forum about this, but ye. A 20x loose streak is possible
ScooterPi Posted October 30, 2018 #22 Posted October 30, 2018 Heck yes! Everybody who's been burned by the Martingale, raise your hands!!! ***i'm imagining a sea of hands in the air*** Martingale is a decent idea if your bankroll is enormous and you start very small with bets. But sooner or later, you will get burned hard. More often than not, it is for a small/modest win. It's easier to bet based on probabilities and adjusting your bet based on current winning vs losing streak.
