Okay, so we all know the marketplace is going to be phased out from Stake, Im wondering how they thought when they announced this. They don't provide their own exchange system, for example @DarkBlood069 has an exchange service that's now closed on the forum, you can stiill contact him in PM's and get exchanges but it was easier when it was on the forums as everyone could know he's legit, all trades were posted in that topic for everyone to see.  Well anyways in my opinion the open marketplace was very good for the community and I don't like that they are going to close it at all. If they make their own exchange system I will have absolutely no problem with this at all but as it is right now I want the exchanges to be public so scams could be prevented.

What do you guys think? Please share your thoughts, I will happily listen to what you think

I only used the marketplace for a few trades here and there to exchange between a few currencies on Stake. I am sad to see it go, since there were many trusted users there doing good business. It is sad to see that a few scammers have ruined the experience for everyone else

I also have only used it for a couple trades but still I don't like that they are taking it away, The people doing legit business are losing because of this as they can't promote their business the same way anymore, well of course there has been scammers but hopefully they are long gone from Stake now!

I think @Kate sells accounts on the marketplace. I feel bad for these users that were doing legit business on Stake, as they made the marketplace a pleasant experience for everyone  I'm super sad to see this happen.

@Kate how do you feel about this? Everyone that did legit business should have the possibility to do so in a community but yeah, we can't really do anything

I think it will save some headache from people scamming, but losing the exchange options sucks. At least you can still pm Darkblood about it. 

If he quits using stake though, what then?

Or Stake will devolop an exchange, or you will find other user

However, although I did speak to Dan about this, he will not change his mind even though those who are legitimately helping others are now getting caught in this problematic phase. Lot's of scammers are not making the trading section easy, but you all know how I work, you will always have to send first so I can convert for you. This way, you and I can't be scammed, I have no intentions of scamming any of the players at stake, I enjoy this site too much and I love the community. I have worked hard to come so far so hopefully my loyalty has been heard.

I thought about this whole thing and maybe the staff could in some way verify legit people and make a only verified people ¨marketplace¨ for example offering exchanges but that would be a lot of work for them This would work if when you are verified, the person using you always needs to go first as you are proven legit or something like that!

Yeah, I hate scamming but still it's sad that we lose the legit people!

Stake might develop an exchange, that's what Im hoping for as it would be 100% risk free then!

I really don't know, we will have to ask someone about this, they 100% won't support us if we get scammed in any way aswell as they might not want us using their forum as they have removed this for a reason. Maybe we should start a telegram or facebook group for this instead!

I can't decide the polling. I just want to wait the new service that Stake offer, if these service works as we expected, so I can said Marketplace can be phased out.
How about Stake giving opportunity to working together with trusted shop before that wants to offer exchange service? It would be good, so they are not leaving Stake because of marketplace being removed.

Yeah, this sounds good, If they offer an exchange Im 100% fine with them deleting the marketplace but right now I think it's pretty annoying!

Yes they will offer an exchange but i don't think it will come anytime soon though.

What i think about this is that stake wants no more obligations from people scamming one another. I think there are times that they cannot do anything about it like what if somebody gave 1 btc to another and made withdrawal as soon as they recieved it. I doubt stake can do anything once it is out of the site.

It just means more work + obligations for them without benefits so i think it is better if they just do not interfere with transactions between members.

They should not in my opinion delete the marketplace until the actual insite exchange is open for use but I also understand the point of view, they need to get rid of scammers and this is the easiest way

Well the phasing out of Marketplace definitely seem to have greatly affected users that often use them, especially in terms of cryptocurrency exchanges.

This phasing out is inevitable. Scammers will always exist and try to scam, it's human nature. To avoid the hassle and headaches the easiest (although not the best imo) method is to remove marketplace altogether.

However, I posted a suggestion awhile back (which no one bothered to read, tyvm! /s) for Mods to offer Middleman/escrow services, basically holding both funds from both parties then re-distributing them. To make it worthwhile for mods I suggested a 1% or 0.5% fee paid by both parties (so 2% total or 1% total) to the Mods as service payment. Exchange services can add on top, e.g. Darkblood069's 4% rate will make it so I pay 4.5-5% while he pays the 0.5-1% fee.
