Hey everyone 👋

Let’s be honest, sports betting isn't just about the numbers, it's about the stories.

The wild wins, the heartbreaking misses, the unlikely odds you hit, and those bets that came down to the very last second. We've all seen how unpredictable sports can be, and that's exactly what makes it so fun (and sometimes frustrating 😁).

In this thread, we would love to hear your most interesting sports betting stories, whether they ended in a win, a loss, or something in between.

Whatever your story is, big win, brutal near-miss, or just a bet you will never forget - we want to hear it.

If you have a screenshot to go along with it, even better! But most importantly, tell us what made the moment special (or painful), and what the experience was like in the moment.

👇 Share your story below, we are ready for the drama!

Haha, nice topic! Here’s mine.
It’s about how I started and stopped sports betting. 😄

Back in time I was a big fan of FK Crvena Zvezda (Red Star FC). They were playing against their rival, FK Partizan, and everyone around me kept saying things like, “Partizan will win! Let’s bet on them the odds are great, it’s a safe match!”

At the time, I was totally against sports betting… but I wanted to prove how silly it could be, whether I won or lost. So, I decided to place a bet with all the money I had saved about 85 euros back then.

The odds for Zvezda were around 5 or 6, meaning bookmakers gave them almost no chance.
But guess what? Zvezda won! 😂😂😂😂

I made my point  that betting odds don’t always reflect reality, and sometimes matches can be a bit too suspicious and rigged. It was a nice win, and of course, we spent it all celebrating! 🍻

That was my first and last sports bet ever.
Thanks for reading!

P.S. I’m no longer a fan of any football club. I prefer real ballet and actors now. 💞

It was the Superbowl: the bet we made was a long winded parlay....late in the 4th quarter the parlay was going great! We had green checkmarks on most of the required marks but we had yet to get a certain number of yards from one of the receivers that my friend had selected! We were about 12 yards shy and all we needed was a simple play.... it was so close! A real nail biter! We were up on our feet couldn't sit down for the final minutes! We didn't get it in the end but we were just shy of winning $2k+

Soooo close!

When my fellow countryman Merab Dvalishvili’s fight against Umar Nurmagomedov was announced in the UFC, the odds for his win were 3.6. I was 1000% sure he would win. I bet everything I had on Merab’s victory. I maxed out the betting limits at local bookmakers ($150,000), and then I remembered I also had a Stake account that I hadn’t used before. There, I found a limit of $3,000. I deposited the money and placed the bet as well. In the end, that day I won a total of $576,000.

Uh, that was back in the day, like 10 years ago. I remember it was a game for something like $500, and I played Rubin Kazan against Barcelona, from X to 1. I remember the odds were around 20x or even crazier fr, and that was the last game. I don’t even know why I had hope for Rubin while Barça was at the peak of their power, they were literally at the peak of their football dynasty back then. Long story short, it brought me $500 :D ezzz ggg

Gotta be this one. The Jacquemot match was a massive thriller, saved several break points in the final set. Too bad my luck ran out after this bet and I ended up losing my next 10-15 tennis singlebets 🙈

i dont think i can find the bets history but it was during the World Cup

had a nice 16 leg parlay 1000+x odds only to lose by 1 leg and the last match was

Germany VS Japan and Germany took the lead in the first half and i thought surely finally i hit a mega parlay

only to watch them lose 2-1 to Japan in the end.

Should I call myself the King of Losing Betting?🤣
I've never won a single sports bet in my life.

Before 2025, I was never interested in betting until I signed up in stake.
Regarding sports betting, the first bet I ever made was on April 19, and of course, I lost. Well, actually, I've never won a sports bet in my entire life.
I think I'm a star at predicting losing bets.
But the bet I was so confident of winning that I went to bed expecting to wake up and win was this one. Oh my God!
×348 I almost won it.

I’ll never forget that day — January 5th, 2013.

The night before Southampton vs Chelsea, I had this random dream it would finish 5–1 and Demba Ba would bag a brace on his debut.

Woke up, laughed it off, and just went with a bet on the correct score.

Turns out the dream was spot on... except I didn’t bet on Ba to score. Still, that win felt unreal. 😄
