Removal of legends tab

Recently, stake removed the legends tab which was found under the More dropdown menu. I loved looking at some crazy statistics on there and just look at it for fun.

Nobody knows if the removal is permanent or temporary.

From what I've been hearing and thinking about they're just fixing the bugs with the amounts for each currency not being individual.

What do you think about this? Did you look at the legends tab often?

Do you want stake to bring it back or just leave it disabled?

It's similar to the sharing of huge wins on twitter. Same affections. I just like to look at it and see e.g. whats the most profit someone got in 24 hrs. No begging included obviously.

tipping beggars is actually not advisable as it would attract more users to beg. 

and, tipping is always the HR's or anyone's choice.

Not only stake, on primedice too, the hall of fame also removed.

I think it was done to protect the identity of these people. There names would show up even if they played in ghost mode, so I think removing it was a good idea, especially since most of these players probably don't want to be identified.

Long time ago if i aint wrong, there is a prize who keep stays in leaderboard right?

Besides... you’re never going to eradicate issues with people begging, for better or for worst. Unless you remove the ability to chat/message, now that’d really be a lone wolf’s world.

My opinion is as good as Snike’s. Might as well keep the feature there forthelulz.

I thought it was cool but at the same time Stake has the anonymous feature for a reason to hide all your bets and at the end of the day everyone can still see how much you wagered or profit defeats the purpose of being anonymous. Same thing with hiding your amount wagered or profit on your account.

I expect it is this.  As you will have noticed most wins are twitter are by anonymous as most players have hidden their stats and plays to avoid being targeted by beggars and scammers.  

Stake also prides itself on high levels of privacy for players, so it is consistent with that.

I can understand the fun of looking at it, after all they had it for a long time, but sadly the worst people are often who rules have to be targeted to.

But, it's good. Legends leaderboard and rainbot were two last options left, where hidden players are revealed.

Would be nice to find solution and how to hide players, who wants privacy, in rainbot. Just show them as "hidden" there too?

It was a good idea for Stake Marketing to do that, but many beggars was spawn at the chat when highrollers bet. It was a great decision for Stake to remove that things. Really annoying to see those beggar, but I feel bad for the highroller too. They didn't get any recognize from Stake because they remove the Legends Tab or Hall of Fame. 

Primedice already removed that one week ago, and it went well to removing some beggars.

Just to add to this post, two things:

1. Most high rollers don't bother even looking at the Legends tab I believe, since they'd be busy gambling. The only thing they might care about is rakebacks. 

2. Twitter announcement of big wins are not accurate at all. I've looked up some of the names that weren't anonymous and some of them encountered incredible losses but Stake only chose to announce the one big win they have. Legends tab is more fair in that it tells the overall profit/losses but then again you could just do /view *insert your own username* to see your overall statistics.

So yup I don't see why that tab has to return. Keep it removed, there are already enough people tagging hr constantly on chat anyways.

Seems like a good move in terms of privacy for High Rollers but a blowback to those who seek glory in chat with Player of the Day or Player of the Month shiny medal.

Yeah the Privacy problems with definitely there but there was also the problem with the fact that it was literally wrong at times at one point it says I made a profit of .02 when in reality I was down like .03

I wonder how are the Player of the Day and Player of the Month allocated then now if Legends is removed. Recently I still saw High Rollers appear in Stake chat with the Medals next to their name.

god it was messed up... im sure i had something to do with it tbh as i complained so many times....
first of all it  was wrong... showed i had 0.250 profit at one point where it was bust bust bust...... i was in the negative but still showing profit, i dont care what kind of explanation you give me,... it was bad and wrong...

next the whole thing was not cool to begin with... why on earth would they allow people to be named as legends when they want to remain hidden, why would they show the wager amoount of people when there is a hide wager amount...

idk the entire thing was flawed and im glad its down. good riddance

I think it was a waist of space anyway . It was never up to date and it was a very big privacy issue . I think its good that its gone.

thank you, and all the others above who commented on the privacy issue...
when filing complaints to support  they made me seem a bit crazy, as if no other legends would complain. i think they even said that at one point..

it just baffled me... idk im really glad they got it down... and i think the reason isnt the privacy issue b ut the bugged outa the brain issue

Yeaps it definitely has infringe quite a few High Roller's privacy due to their wagered and profit are still shown when they are using Ghost Mode to remain anonymous.

I don't think this was Stake's intention. They are not gaining anything by exposing usernames. It's not like they are exposing IP addresses and other private info. They will probably allow users to exclude themselves in future since they learnt from this experience.

Eh, not so much of a deal for me. I think ive made it only once on the legends tab from when i first caught fire. But in all honesty, whats really the point in putting up peoples names for the beggars/HR stalkers to harrasd? its like giving them a hit list in my opinion.. lol
