Kate Posted November 25, 2018 #1 Posted November 25, 2018 So we have seen the very dreadful fall of Bitcoin our beloved coin from a whopping 19,000$ to now 3800$. Bitcoin wasn't the only crypto that had taken the big push but also other altcoins like Dash , Litecoin , Dogecoin etc. Well many people believe it was due to Bitcoin's fault that altcoins also took this big hit. Now many coins are coming up even after the dreadful drag but still they aren't at the price they are supposed to be. Many altcoins could be the next Bitcoin if Bitcoin keeps crashing like this ! In my opinion , the next coin that could possibly take over with a little bit more time would be Bitcoin Cash. I hate to say it but i guess it would be true. Seeing that Bitcoin cash had remained around the above 500$ mark when many coins like Litecoin , Monero and Ethereum has dropped from their original price to around 100$. But Bitcoin Cash hasn't. Well i guess father like son Bitcoin Cash would one day overtake it's creator and i guess it will happen within months. What do you think ? Which Altcoin would and could possibly take over Bitcoin ?

You are twisting the facts. Bitcoin dropped from $6600 to $3800, it had remained stable around the $6500 mark for a long time. In fact the $19000 mark was just market manipulation IMO. As to Bitcoin cash, it also crashed. From $500 to $290. It makes sense for all altcoins to crash with bitcoin since they all follow/are counted as a fraction of bitcoins. I highly doubt other altcoins will surpass btc's value, simply because it took nearly 10 years for btc to rise to today's prices. By the time other altcoins reach this price (aka another 10 years), btc will have had 20 years to grow. So it'll always be in the lead.
StoneDragon Posted November 26, 2018 #3 Posted November 26, 2018 Take over bitcoin is little to hard word, close to him maybe indeed btc cash, but take over😀

I think it could go up for some time though Yup now after the fork I would believe that Ethereum would be the coin that could be in place of Bitcoin Cash. Sad to see the big fall the coin had even if its an enemy coin.

I guess that the only turnaround to this would be to create a new coin that is totally independent to the others. By that I mean that it won't use at all the blockchain, there should be created something else, it shouldn't even be considered an "altcoin" or a "cryptocurrency" and so everyone would not connect the price of BTC with it. I guess that in this way plus a lot of advertising and marketing and also contracts with countries (BTCs and many altcoins first problem would be that many countries are against them, that's why if there would be a coin to get most of the countries support, for sure it might increase a lot).

Yes but I was meaning it to be seen from the eyes in the chart. If you check you could see from 19,000$ to 3800$ not twisting anything :P.
marsh Posted January 7, 2019 #7 Posted January 7, 2019 Yes there is a chance bitcoin will replace by altcoins but thy should be a masternodes because the price is good with help of coins collateral... One more thing is we can't believe every altcoins due to new coins forming everyday. only few altcoins we can believe. we can't predict also the price of the crypto, so price may rise and low anytime if it is bitcoin or other. but my strong hope is no one other coin will replace.😀😍

Masternodes are very useful but the price is expensive. Is there any altcoin that you think that will be able to replace Bitcoin and be the Next Bitcoin ? If so which coin ?
Brunkey Posted January 7, 2019 #9 Posted January 7, 2019 The next coin will be XRP = Ripple thats upcomming. I believe in XRP!
williamshennie9 Posted January 7, 2019 #10 Posted January 7, 2019 Each altcoin (or most of them at least), have some unique feature about them, whether it is speed, low fees etc. Most of them have something which makes them attractive. Bitcoin was one of the original cryptos, so that's why I think it is so valuable. I honestly think bitcoin cash or ripple have a lot of potential to be very valuable in the near future. I don't think any crypto will ever beat bitcoin.

Eugene265 Posted January 7, 2019 #12 Posted January 7, 2019 I dont think that any of alt coins can beat bitcoin at least in the next few years. Bitcoin is the strongest one for now and for the next few years it will be same.

jamesvan Posted January 7, 2019 #14 Posted January 7, 2019 For me theres no better than bitcoin,it is the foundation of all altcoin. Bitcoin to the moon
eroejoe Posted January 8, 2019 #15 Posted January 8, 2019 I think that Bitcoin Cash do not have anything good and valuable except phrase Bitcoin in his name, same opinion worth for Bitcoin SV, Bitcoin gold, and others "Bitcoins". I do not see any altcoin which could replace Bitcoin, because it is most popular and most secure coin.

Kate Posted January 9, 2019 Author #17 Posted January 9, 2019 I am seeing many people saying Bitcoin couldn't be beaten and it's the strongest and other all things just saying that Bitcoin cannot be replaced. My question is which coin hypothetically could be the next bitcoin not if it would surpass. Like coins with same feature , characteristics like bitcoin and also maybe price when it rises.
nhoyasim101 Posted January 9, 2019 #18 Posted January 9, 2019 In the world of crypto we all know that BTC is the leader, base on btc history from 1$ reached to 19k$ I think no coins can duplicate it, bch has good platform and has potential to raise in the near future,,but I am watching the xrp and stellar this cheap coins has a good platform too.
BLXN Posted January 9, 2019 #19 Posted January 9, 2019 It all depends on the implementation, and purpose of a coin. In this manner, I could see XRP perhaps overtake BTC in a very long run; and see an increase in its value in comparison to the rest very soon. It already has a large majority of the number of coins in existence, if I am not mistaken, and so an positive influx in price could lead to great leaps in value, and control over the market.

If bitcoin does go down for some reason, I think one of the other big players would take the lead, such as Ethereum, bitcoin cash, NEO, Ripple etc. It is highly unlikely that a new startup will succeed to the level the bitcoin has.
CAPT.DEADPOOL Posted January 12, 2019 #21 Posted January 12, 2019 the price of altcoins has fallen due to the fall of bitcoin I think the price of altcoins has been affected but their price will go back again once a year or depending on buyers and investors I know only Potential coin is bitcoin and crap.

Enzo Posted July 8, 2019 #24 Posted July 8, 2019 The next coin(s) I see taking over are BCH or Eth, Eth is hugely on the rise, had a little fluctuation but overall its up a lot this year. I don't follow BCH closely enough to make any comments or predictions for it but I do know enough about it being a strong coin that has been rising slower then others but at a steady pace. I've also had some debates with people about a coin called NRG.
BLXN Posted July 9, 2019 #25 Posted July 9, 2019 Well, there will never be 'another' "bitcoin" as the original will always be the means of measuring the rest- you can't undermine (heh) the foundation of the concept, it's philosophically unsound, regardless of improvements, it's part of the memesphere. 😃
