Coupons or Tips

Stake is doing many giveaways and challenges. They do various Giveaways and Challenges. And for the payout they used to pay through tipping the user from the Support account then they later moved to tipping from the giveaway account and now they change to coupons. Coupons is just a link you click and BTC or the coin get's added to your account. Which would be better tipping or Coupon ?

I would prefer the tipping but i don't want the support to take the hassle to type the name for each payout. Why i like tipping is since coupons they expire within 1 week of time and i would like tipping much better cause i don't quite often remember to claim the coupon unless someone in Stake Chat mentions about it or says like " did you guys claim it ? " or something like that. Well coupons are good to do Instagram Giveaways like first one who claims gets it or first ten members but challenges i like it tho it makes the site look more developed to people but i would prefer tipping. Let the challenges have coupons its fine no probs only challenges.

P.S : Not complaining to bring back tipping btw

What about you guys ? Would you prefer tipping or coupons as a way for payout ?

i agreed, because its happened  to me. sometimes i forgot to open the challenge/ giveaway forum

so i need to check it manually to claim my giveaway challenge rewards.

Both coupons and tips are good but coupons is more easier to send the rewards to the participants. So support don't need to sent the rewards 1 by 1 again.

i mean i love the coupon thing. the fact that it removes the tip spam from chat plus all the passive noobs that dont know whats going on spam too. great concept.

Meh, tipping sometimes feels unfair anyways. Unless the support knows you, and likes you or tolerate you,  it would be almost impossible for one to get tipped by them. In very rare occasion will they tip a new player, unless you managed to wow them in some way. Giveaways are also kinda difficult to win as well, until they limit how many times a person can win within a certain time frame, you will get lots of bots and see the same people winning all the time.

Coupons to claim prizes are fine if they would extend the claiming time/expiration date. I know someone who joined the challenge but didn't know that there's an expiration date so she didn't get her prize because when she went online to claim it, the coupon is already expired she said.

Definitely coupon. It's more work on our part, but a ton less work for staff, also more importantly, a ton less spam in chat. The entire passive/begging part of chat comes out of hibernation whenever a tip occurs, and 100 tips coming from giveaway will drive literally every one of those people into a frenzy far surpassing black friday/boxing day sales.

The way I see it, you are getting free money. If anyone feel like it's a hassle spending that 10 seconds everytime to click on a coupon they don't deserve it.

I think coupon would be a better option in terms of claiming the prize of challenges which encourages less spam.

Claiming prizes is now a lot easier and saves time for our dear support. Plus it’s also a way to stop those alts coming out and spam the chat. 

It’s more convenient in a sense that, we as a player can now check for ourselves if we can claim it or not since it will be posted at the end of the thread.

Ahh yes that's a good point too, evertime the support send the rewards, people always say "Woah, good tip, notice me, etc etc" lol.

Yeah thats why I prefered tipping over coupons for the challenges or they could maybe make coupons for challenges that cant expire or extend the period from 1 wekk to more day

I think most people preferred the tips, because there was no work required, whereas the coupons require you to click a link. I honestly don't mind the coupons, and I doubt 100% of the winners will claim it (you always have 1 or 2 people that won't click the button), so it means only active people will see the link, unless they manually check it of course.

And also, the coupons probably free up a lot of time for the support team, since they don't need to manually credit each player, so in this way, I would say the coupons are more efficient and practical.

True, if we get like a history list which coupon that we used . I would agree to use tipping first instead a coupon. Maybe in a future, we forgot to claim the coupon that we claimed before. That is why, I don't really like coupon things, and it was easier to remember where do you get that prize.

I can somehow agree with you that we have to remember about the coupons every time (I just remembered that I have an unclaimed coupon right now after seeing this topic), but I don't think that tipping is the way to go but the expiring time of coupons to be 2 weeks and it might even be interesting to add 1-2 days if less than 80% of the winners claimed it

Even an automated PM on Stake would be nice, at least with a dot to remember us about the challenge/giveaway

I don't understand the issue with coupons. We all know that the support team payout the challenges on Wednesday. So, its as simple as going on the forum Wednesday night and claiming it. Literally takes less than 10 seconds, and its much less work and room for error for support than manually tipping all the participants.

Perhaps they could do a sticky at the top of challenges with the coupons on it for every week. Or add the coupons to the new challange post.

I think coupon is much easier for support and admin than having to individually tip everyone.

That's an excellent idea they could maybe update the challenge by saying claim the last weeks coupon with a link next to it not a bad idea.

Coupon codes don't just make our job easier, but for you as well. Simple solution for all your worries if the link will expire or if you might miss it somehow is in following the thread you participated in. You can also follow the "Giveaway" account and see when the prizes are distributed, that is, when the link is posted 😉 This way, you cannot miss a payout and a week time is plenty to gather your winnings, don't you agree? 😁

An option would be that there was a page like "Availabe Coupons" where you can check if you have any coupons left to open!
