Does gambling need skills or just luck?

Luck is very important but unpredictable. That's why I believe in systematic approach to gambling. But the feeling of being lucky is so great that I often step out to try my luck. Unfortunately it's very hard to take emotion off the game completely.

Well mainly I believe it's on luck. A skill can be achieved by anyone so to win if it requires skills and that skill is easily achievable by everyone then gambling wouldn't exist at all!

there are different kinds of games in the gambling world...
games of skill and games of chance
                
games of skill can be ones that are like poker, where you can bluff and win the game with a losing hand if all played.
and games of chance, which the user has no effect on he outcome, this will be something like plinko.

This is true, you can make use of statistics to predict when your next win will be. Not always accurate, but better than randomly guessing when to preroll, and start betting with your real balance.

i dont think that is true. you saying you can make use of stats to figure predict with significant accuracy what the RNG will spew out nexr or what range etc..
significant accuracy is when it is 95% of the time right or within 0.05 standard deviation or smtin
ah i dono the maaths on stats anymore... but someomne who knows chime in plz

Think about it, if you have 10 losses in a row on dice 2x (say you bet user 50.50), then you have an excellent chance of winning the next bet, since the probability gets smaller and smaller with each loss that is made. Of course statistics is an estimate, and not an exact science, so bear that in mind when using it.

But yes, I do think it is possible to predict with decent accuracy the rolls outcomes, based purely on probabilities. The problem is that you can have many wins like this, but it just takes one loss to wipe you out.

i think i read a research study somewhere saying with more experience gamblers are able to make smarter bets and get "better at gambling"

Gambling just is luck there is nothing with skills in my opinion. If you need "skill" for gambling some people would be rich and gamble every day but the house always wins thats why you need to be lucky to win against the house.

Hah, it is easy to answer. Gambling are needs in both luck and skill. Very often the more you lucky = the more you win. But not always. Sometimes you just need to be expert in gambling to predict, what will be next? Also you need gambling experience to cashout your winnings in the right time to not lose your balance and to not lose your potentional profit

Its goal of gambling sites to make you believe its about skill.

Pure luck 100 percent nothing else. 

Poker and match beting is completely other thing. Its something you can master to the pont when its just 30 percent luck

gambling is the combination of luck and skill. as much as you stay in gambling platform, you will gain experience. and with experience you will become more lucky.

I am biased as hell.

When on a rollin’ lucky win-streak, I would think skills are more important so I can win more!

When on a rollin’ hellbound lose-streak, I am praying with gritted teeth for luck so I can lose less!

Then, on an average day - Jesus I am thinking maybe I need a mixture of both luck & skills so I can maintain my balance!

its nice question skill its required every work ,if u r not skilled for the job u cant sustained and luck its also required for coincident, when u r luck with  skilled giving you unexpected profit

I think its both. Skill in self control as well as good luck. But skill in guessing and spotting good opportunities.
