Dear Community Management Team,

I am writing to propose increasing the number of moderators for the Japanese community chat.

Currently, we have three Japanese moderators. While they do a great job, there are inevitable gaps in moderation—especially during the late-night hours in Japan (JST). Since they have their own daily lives, such as work and sleep, there are several periods when no Japanese moderator is online.

In the past, there have been many instances where aggressive behavior or inappropriate posts occurred during these "late-night gaps." When this happens, healthy users (including myself) have often had to reach out to English moderators or Community Managers for immediate help because a quick response wasn't possible within the Japanese channel.

Therefore, I suggest adding 1 or 2 more moderators to the Japanese team, specifically to cover these vulnerable time slots. This would significantly reduce the "unmoderated" hours and help maintain a safe, healthy environment for everyone in the Japanese community.

Thank you for your time and for everything you do to support us.

Best regards,
Sattin

I support this proposal.

The current Japanese moderators are doing a great job, but with only three people, it is difficult to cover all hours, especially late at night in Japan. During those times, inappropriate or aggressive messages sometimes stay in chat for too long, which can make the community feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

I would also like to mention that sattin has been very active in the chat, especially during late-night hours. They often help keep the chat calm and report problems when needed. Because of this, I believe sattin would be a good candidate if additional Japanese moderators are considered.

Adding one or two more moderators would help improve response times, reduce the workload on the current team, and create a safer and more comfortable environment for Japanese users.

Thank you for your continued support of the community.

I support this idea.

I’ve also noticed the lack of moderation during certain time slots, so having more staff would be a great improvement.
