ScooterPi Posted October 10, 2018 #1 Posted October 10, 2018 A week or two ago, I had an entry in the "Inception" weekly challenge that was not considered eligible due to an issue with ghost mode. I've never had an issue with this before. I always disable ghost mode before posting bet ID's and then complete challenge entry with ghost mode disabled. The last entry I had, I never got a payout. I contacted support to ask about this. I was told that any questions about this should be directed to username "Giveaway" in forum, and that I could message directly. Support also told me that there was info stating the reason I did not get payout was due to ghost mode enabled when posting. I thought this was strange, since I did not use ghost mode that day, even when playing the challenge. And my entry shows my username clearly for each bet I posted. So, I sent the email to "Giveaway", as this is the new process we are supposed to use. It's been days, and I've never heard back. I won't be entering any more giveaways until I can find out what it is that I did wrong. Has there been some change in how system works? Does ghost mode need to be disabled for the entire week until challenge is paid out? Forum challenges are difficult. I enjoy them - but I don't want to put all that work into entering just to receive nothing. Please help.
lolipant Posted October 10, 2018 #2 Posted October 10, 2018 i just test it, ghost mode affected all bet under your name while you're enable it (meaning, you need to disable it until the staff check the bet and paid you)

It used to be that my entry was fine as long as ghost mode was disabled while I posted my bets on challenge entry and submitted. That's disappointing. It means that in order to enter the challenges, you basically have to commit to not using ghost mode, as we have no way of knowing when our entries will be checked. Between this and me not being able to enter the giveaways due to my newbie twitter account, I am pretty sad about how things are going on Stake. All the fun stuff is gone. Now it's just a deposit/play/lose cycle. Super sad.

I guess there is no way other than to not use ghost mode if I decide to play the weekly challenges. I am not sure about the part you mention about a tie for the challenge? I had entered for the Inception challenge, will copy/paste the objective here: We hope you've seen the well-known Inception film because in this week's challenge you must perform inception on Wheel. In order to do this, you have to get through 7 dream circles. On the High risk multiplier you have to hit the highest payout for every pin but starting from the highest (16) to the lowest (4) so you can successfully perform the inception and take the win. All players who achieve the challenge in the next 7 days, will get a share in the prize pool! There is no limit to the amount of winners, and the more players who get involved the higher the prize pool! So if you get more players involved, then you win more!

So I guess if you want to enter every week, you can say goodbye to ghost mode

I was also not credited for inception challenge because the support said i was in ghost mode when they were checking the bets. But of course it was no big deal for me since it is their giveaway, if i did something to hinder myself from winning, whether knowingly or not, it is my fault. I guess ghost mode hinders them from checking the bets thoroughly to avoid rewarding alts. So yeah we have to move on and goodluck in future challenges!

The original rule was pretty clear too "Ghost mode should be disabled" and it meant just that - disabled, not turned on and off as players find suiting. We actually did a favor to a lot of players for letting them vary between these functions, and it was kinda pain to see it being, so to speak - abused in the end. All bets should be transparent, and for other players to see them, they are competing with you and we have a lot of TIER challenges now (will have them more often), so the status of player's bet should be visible for everyone to check, not just to support. Please, understand that it is not in our interest to damage anyone, we wish to credit all who participated, doesn't really make a difference if we credit 10 people more or less, except to the players themselves, reflected by the amount of prize they receive. We expanded the rule now to make it more clear "Ghost mode should be disabled during the course of the whole promotion" - it still means the same, it just adds that we will not tolerate on and off function, for one reason only - we are not the ones checking the giveaways now. They are being verified by the third party and for everything to run smoothly and on time - the verifying of bets starts from Thursday/Friday even, and then crediting during the following week until that time. None of you should take this personally, nor do we ask you to chose between the Ghost mode and the promotions. You can play in Ghost mode during the whole week, disable it and post the bet during the last few days/even hours with minimum stress. The only time it is really important for you to have it disabled is during the TIER challenges, because they require posting the bet on the same day when the bet was made. We're keeping the high spirits and competitive rhythm among the players this way. TIER challenges are usually monthly, as well (Just a small note!) Hope this clarifies it a bit now, and I'm glad you have made this topic so that everyone would be informed about the changes made, even though they were not too radical

Kate Posted November 17, 2018 #16 Posted November 17, 2018 My tip would be when you post in forum you can see the placed by ____ ( user name ) if it does show anonymous then you have to disable and try to hit it again so you get entered that's why always check the placed by ______ to confirm it was your bet and that you didn't turn on ghost mode.

Levt211 Posted November 18, 2018 #18 Posted November 18, 2018 the thing is if u read the rule is says u cant use ghost mode for the entire time ofcontest... meaning after u post ur bet u cant turn on ghost mood .. that resulted in ur DQ... ii haven't got paid for many of the Giveaways as well thats why I dont even bother any more especially w the Dice giveaways becuuz i cant see the damn result history... lame but I still love stake no biggie

If you participate in TIER ones, you need to have the ghost mode disabled AND post the bets THE SAME day you get them, so that would mean - no Ghost Mode for a longer period Again, up to you, they are once per month usually, prizes are bigger for the top 10 users, and I think this is worth it, in case you decide to take part in them.

I also felt similarly to how you feel, that you did everything right abd frustrated in finding out that you did not qualify for the payout for going back into ghost mode after completing the challenge as it wasnt specified at the time of when it happened to me. And i also chose to boycott the challenges for a little while, but started doing some again with the awareness that i am making the choice to participate knowing there is a chance that i may complete the challenge but may be disqualified for whatever silly reason they come up with that make no sense to me. So that by knowing this fact, if i dont get the payout, i wont be as dissapointed as the first timebit happened because i chose to put myself in such predicament. Hope you feel better soon. P.S. at least giveaway responded to you. mine was completely ignored.
