Goopies Posted June 6 #1 Posted June 6 Was thinking of throwing money in to try, but I'm not sure I'm good enough to spend money on it. Are there decent free or low cost tournaments to try on?
Roland91988 Posted June 6 #2 Posted June 6 Yeah, I had some good time on State poker. I had a bad beat also, and I got some jackpot. I like the graphics and the free rolls
kick-raivisf Posted June 6 #3 Posted June 6 (edited) You can play cash games as low as 0.8$ buyin and tournaments/sng starting from 1$, at times there is freerolls and 0.01$ tournaments with guaranteed prize pools what make them for all practical purposes freerolls. Edited June 6 by kick-raivisf
dutchie99 Posted June 12 #4 Posted June 12 Yes, there are very few good poker players. Anytime there is a casino that has poker, you get a lot of inexperienced players that just blow money. I would start at the $10 buy in cash games to get a feel of how it works. If you're a winning player, move to the $50 and play 6 tables at a time. Even the $500 tables are pretty easy.
WigglePickle926 Posted June 15 #5 Posted June 15 There are a lot of recreational players that go all in light. Watch them get lucky and suckout on people

Dracoolaa Posted June 17 #8 Posted June 17 Only people with good poker knowledge can make money on it.. rest of us are just there to give them free money
kenoking745 Posted June 20 #9 Posted June 20 Depends on many factors. But all in all it's all in the luck of the cards and 49%skill maxed out.
bearhuddotcom Posted Sunday at 05:47 PM #10 Posted Sunday at 05:47 PM you lowk just have to play with a hud, it brings an element of skill into it.

jyco Posted 5 hours ago #13 Posted 5 hours ago From my perspective, yes, it's definitely possible. But if you're playing low buy-in tournaments, you need to be patient and focus on improving over time. There are many excellent players who make a living from poker, and you can even watch them streaming their sessions. There are also live tournaments where winning a single event can earn you more than many people make in years. That said, it's not easy. It takes skill, discipline, good bankroll management, and a lot of patience to become consistently profitable.
