KiXxnTRiXx Posted December 22, 2018 #1 Posted December 22, 2018 Stakes does a weekly challenges which if a player completes the required winning bets are eligible for a pre-set prize pool of satoshis. This month, they have the daily challenges, which started at thebeginning of december and will run until Christmas day. I am curious if players participates for all challenges or would the games/difficulty of the requirements would be a factor in joining? There has been challenges that ended up costing me more than what i recieved for completing it. Since then, ive been more picky on which challenges i would participate in. If the prize pool is small and the difficulty is high, i have decided not to take part if i believe that i will most likely lose more coins compared to the reward. Theres been a few for the Advent challenges that i skipped and did not even attemot doing for this exact reason. But if the prize pool us big enough, even if then difficulty is high, i think is worth it. If fewer people completes the challenge, with a bigger prize pool, there is a good chance in getting a nice fat payout. What are your views on this? Do you participate on every challenge or di you pick and choose your battles?
Shaniqua Posted December 22, 2018 #2 Posted December 22, 2018 I really wanted to make all the prizes to the end to win the super major prize... but.... after about the 5th day i lost one challange... since that day i have been so discouraged to do the challanges i have pretty much been skipping a lot of them if not all since that day i hope you all didnt give up as fast as me....
williamshennie9 Posted December 22, 2018 #3 Posted December 22, 2018 Usually, I choose my battles, but for the Xmas edition, I am trying my best to hunt every single one of them to get the big reward at the end of it
xtinepink Posted December 22, 2018 #4 Posted December 22, 2018 Most of the time I only join challenges depending on the game and my balance. I would skip playing plinko especially that I am playing via mobile. There are some challenges that I will skip mainly because I think I wont be able to complete it.

There are definitely times that I am negative for hunting challenges but most of the time I am on profit that is why I only participate challenges that I now that I will be able to complete. My basis for me to go is when I already achieve a similar game that I did.
bmg Posted December 22, 2018 #7 Posted December 22, 2018 I have chosen to step out of the challenges for a little while . So instead I'm going to be on the side lines rooting all of my friends on and now I'm also Etudes cheerleader for the remainder of the Christmas challenges lol. Go Etude go !!🏆
jualid Posted December 22, 2018 #8 Posted December 22, 2018 i missed 1 day on this christmas event challenge, so i give up and only join when the challenge is easy.

Do you participate on every challenge or di you pick and choose your battles? I always see advent challenge(s) or any other challenges for that sake as a must-complete. In that way, I try to bet at higher levels similarly to if I was playing normally as that would give me more perspective on playing a certain game this way (since I wouldn’t usually be exposed to it). However, on some occasions this has proved to have diminishing effects on my balance as the rewards from challenges + win amount usually does not cover my total staked amount. I Guess you can’t win at everything...
wry Posted December 22, 2018 #10 Posted December 22, 2018 I like free money, so I usually try and do the challenges. However, if it looks too hard or is a game I don't like the money ceases to be "free" and doing the challenges becomes work. So the main issue then becomes the amount of real life time that is going to be sucked away doing the challenges. The advent challenges have a nice prize at the end, the coveted .005 BTC, but even that is 20 USD. So if I spent an hour on half the challenges I didn't really want to do, that's an hourly rate of under 2 USD. While that may be a lot for some people, I value my leisure time more highly than that. So that's how I approach the challenges.
lupandina Posted December 22, 2018 #11 Posted December 22, 2018 I missed only blackjack challenge, it was way too hard and boring for me I did all others, never was in lose while hunting it, mostly even profited, and + claimed prizes. Awesome!
blueprints Posted December 22, 2018 #12 Posted December 22, 2018 Well since i had no shot of winning the .005 after missing the first few days, I just skip the hard ones. like the .1 btc prize pool ones.

Awesome! Ahhh, that's so sad, so you'll miss the 500k prize just for missing one challenge
Mahdirakib87 Posted December 22, 2018 #14 Posted December 22, 2018 I always wish to join those challenge. But the main thing is challenges are getting harder now. Rarely they give some easy challenge. And when I see a new challenge and found it difficult to win I give up. Actually my mind don't work well and can't focus to complete the challenge. We always need an attention to complete the challenge but when we found it difficult we always fear. But I have seen that a lot of player win every challenge. They always take it seriously. In my side I have never won any challenge. Once I fulfilled 80% of a challenge but unable to give the final finishing touch. Though I'm still trying to win challenges.
davinmark Posted December 22, 2018 #15 Posted December 22, 2018 yes, actually i do the same like yours. i mean, you guys know that the challenge is a little bit hard especially on Mixed Challenge (0.1 BTC Prize) i was so picky choosing a challenge that i will do, i didnt do the challenge if it was really hard and drained my balance so much
Boyka Posted December 22, 2018 #16 Posted December 22, 2018 I actually want to join on mines challengees only because are more easier
elyxdelrey Posted December 23, 2018 #17 Posted December 23, 2018 Once I saw the one where you had to hit 3 different multipliers more than 100x for Plinko I was like nope nope nope!
Viksen Posted December 23, 2018 #18 Posted December 23, 2018 For me, these contests are just an opportunity to try yourself. work out or not. Not yet missed a single contest. The hardest were competition with mines. Once I merged a lot of knocking out 15 cards in a hilo. Sometimes I knock out a competition in a good plus, sometimes in a minus, but in general, I have a profit on competitions. So a bonus of 500k satoshi will be nice additions to daily
Moderator Flan Posted December 23, 2018 Moderator #19 Posted December 23, 2018 Free money, why not? I suggest you to not use bitcoin when you bet at challenge, it cost a lot than alt-coins. You can save your bitcoin and stack up until 25th December. If I calculate with those daily prize at first until last daily challenge, It would be 1,9m satoshi (with bonus 500k sats at the end of seasonal challenge). But if that challenge really drained your money until dry in the pocket, maybe you can stop.
Paecga129 Posted December 23, 2018 #20 Posted December 23, 2018 I do not do the challenges anymore because it seems to cost me more than I win !!! So I stopped doing them a few weeks ago!
chavez82 Posted December 23, 2018 #21 Posted December 23, 2018 I only pick a challenge that is not too hard. many challenges lately is very hard on the bankroll.
wngo123 Posted December 23, 2018 #22 Posted December 23, 2018 I used to participate in them and one time I actually earned more when trying to meet the challenge requirements than the prize in the challenge was. But it only happened one time. On the other occasions I usually lost more than the prize so it didn't make sense. It depends on the luck, I may try to participate in the challenges and see if I meet the requirement quickly then it makes sense, but if for a long time you won't get the result then continuing by hunting for the result is not something that you should do because eventually it may result in going broke.
Philip74 Posted December 23, 2018 #23 Posted December 23, 2018 Regarding weekly challenges, I like to participate in these unless they are the tier challenges, which I think are not worth the effort. As for the advent challenges, I have participated in all of these, even the harder ones. Unfortunately, I failed one of them, as I did not understand the requirements correctly, so I will be missing out on the final prize, but I still continue doing these daily. Even if some challenges are hard, I think overall we make a profit, so it is in our interest to complete them.

I'm exactly the same, I don't even try for tier challenges, there are just too many people on Stake with more balance and more free time than me to achieve those hits needed for the challenge.
Kate Posted December 23, 2018 #25 Posted December 23, 2018 I pick the ones where I know that many players wont play to hunt it because it's achieving percentage is like 0.01% I do so because if I get it then I get a good amount of BTC from it
