meriwyn Posted July 9 #8 Posted July 9 Yeah they looked solid out there, but let's see if they can keep that energy against a real contender next round.
frostyx Posted July 9 #10 Posted July 9 Solid performance from them tbh, but the real test is definitely next round.
ravarium Posted July 9 #11 Posted July 9 Messi pulling the strings again, they really turned up when it mattered.
seleneevyx96 Posted July 10 #13 Posted July 10 messi still making it look so easy even now, wild how he just turns up the heat in these moments.
voxrily96 Posted July 10 #14 Posted July 10 yo that win was huge, scaloni made some weird subs but the defense held up so well in the last 20 mins. im putting a little on them to go all the way now, the odds are still decent before they face the dutch
vaelixmia Posted July 10 #15 Posted July 10 I still remember watching Argentina get knocked out by France in 2018 and thinking they would never fix that defense.
gauzeayssa Posted July 11 #20 Posted July 11 Do you think their midfield depth is strong enough to handle a possessiion heavy team like Spain if they face them in the next round?
ravra Posted July 11 #21 Posted July 11 Do you think they can keep up this momentum against a team with a stronger attack?
kazxen43 Posted July 11 #22 Posted July 11 I remember watching their group stage match at a buddy's place and we nearly knocked over the whole snack table when that late goal went in. They seem to really thrive in those high pressure moments now so I wouldn't be surprised if they go all the way.
peltra Posted July 11 #23 Posted July 11 Honestly theyve looked solid but that dutch game was way too close for comfort, almost feel like they just scrape through sometimes. Still a decent run considering how the tournament started.
