Glitch when trying to tag a forum user

so I've had this issue several times in the past when trying to tag a forum user it doesn't post as clickable.  This becomes an issue because there have been giveaways where you must tag a user & you aren't allowed to edit your post or you are disqualified from the giveaway.  I've noticed in several other forum users post's that the user they have tagged is also not clickable even though the user name to be tagged is spelled correctly.

Works fine for me xD.. try this, tag the person typing out the whole name until this person is the only one on the list then press enter.. dont even click it.. see if that works  gl jen jen

Everything works for me, sign out can help, and then login to the forum.

From the tests above, the only moment a user isn't tag is when you don't click the username from the dropdown/username suggestions

 

 

If the dropdown or list of suggested usernames isn't showing, refresh the page.

You cant tag a user by cutting and pasting, you have to start typing their name out, and then select from the list once it appears. You cant simply type their name and continue.

I checked your posts and that's what it looks like was done. Typically you can tell when a player is not correctly tagged because the embed code is not in the source of the post, and that's due to not typing the name out and clicking the name from the list.

heh,  thats so weird, using my ipad i didnt click on the name and just clicked on enter the player got picked and tagged

yes I understand the whole drop down list thing and I'm aware copy pasting doesn't work I'm talking about just simply typing the user's name and no drop down list appears.  It only occurs some times I don't know maybe it's when my connection is lagging.

Whenever the @ symbol is triggered, it opens up a direct connection with the user database. Even if you press @ and type other random shit after (including spaces.) The onyl way that the user wouldn't link is if you didn't choose to link someone.

I have not experienced any sort of problem like this while tagging. Mainly i think why is causes this is the spelling mistakes and also in a giveaway people should recheck before posting since it is a giveaway and abusers will be found sooo.... that's why it's limited to no edits and one post.

The one time this didn't work for me, as well as the bet ID link editor was when my browser wasn't updated  After I updated it, it works as a charm, so start by checking that, as eldrin and Dan mentioned above, as soon as @ and the 1st letter of the username is typed, the drop menu appears with the potential people you would like to tag
