jyco Posted Wednesday at 07:35 PM #2 Posted Wednesday at 07:35 PM Most players honestly, almost all of them study using GTO (Game Theory Optimal), which is considered the mathematically optimal way to play poker. I'd recommend starting by learning GTO preflop ranges, since there are plenty of free resources available. Memorize those first, then try applying them in tournaments and see if you notice the difference. More advanced postflop GTO study is often behind a paywall, so preflop is the best place to start.
peltra Posted 14 hours ago #4 Posted 14 hours ago fr just nail down preflop ranges first, that alone stops a ton of the leaks without needing to go full nerd on the rest yet
Frankiry879 Posted 13 hours ago #5 Posted 13 hours ago honestly same boat not long ago, preflop charts cleaned up like 80% of my dumb losses real quick
luxesse Posted 13 hours ago #6 Posted 13 hours ago tbh, stop playing every hand and fold way more preflop, that alone cuts the bleeding fast
loreon Posted 13 hours ago #7 Posted 13 hours ago preflop discipline is the boring fix that actually works tbh, just folding the trash hands you know you should will save you so many buy-ins over a session
Wickys Posted 13 hours ago #8 Posted 13 hours ago fr just fold way more preflop, you're probably bleeding chips by playing too many hands you know are garbage deep down
dacingsalmon Posted 12 hours ago #9 Posted 12 hours ago ngl folding more preflop fixed my leaks quick 😂 🔥
Dosehry3 Posted 12 hours ago #10 Posted 12 hours ago preflop is the boring fix that works, but if you're already folding trash then start paying attention to position—playing out of turn is torching money without even realizing it
rexvar1 Posted 10 hours ago #11 Posted 10 hours ago fold more preflop and don't chase every draw, that's literally half the battle solved right there
Gauzeess Posted 10 hours ago #12 Posted 10 hours ago tbh if you're losing a ton it's usually less about fancy plays and more about playing too many hands out of position, tighten up hard from early seats and see if the leaks shrink
onyxvi333 Posted 10 hours ago #13 Posted 10 hours ago position is everything ngl, you can't play the same range from early as you do on the button and expect to profit
fenikaro Posted 9 hours ago #14 Posted 9 hours ago fr bro just fold preflop more ngl that cuts the dumb losses quick
sandtha Posted 9 hours ago #15 Posted 9 hours ago stop calling down with second pair on wet boards, that alone saved me so many buy-ins fr
maxe34dtal3 Posted 8 hours ago #16 Posted 8 hours ago no cap, folding is your best friend in the game bro ? just be patient and pick your spots ? ?
