Yes you are right but just think for a split second you have given all your info to coinbase . They are a big cooperate but they have your info like private info which you are scared to give to even your friends but give some random company where you can't even talk to the owner. Now if the owner goes greedy they can literally sell in the dark web. If you have ever been there you'd know how risky this giveaway is. Just a warning mate since when i went there i literally saw like passports and ID numbers ( which were like for a proof something like that ) . Facebook another cooperate. Why is a social media platform so rated high ? Because it carries a lot of info. Like personal messages , friends etc. Don't ask me how i accessed it lol my friend just opened it up randomly and showed me.

Like personal messages , friends etc. Don't ask me how i accessed it lol my friend just opened it up randomly and showed me. i never use my passport as proof of id.. just regular id.. which informations on it can be looked up by simply going on a gov site or social sites.. nothing a big hidden secret.. having your info is not the threat.. its knowing your whole background is what hackers. needs.. simply having name dob address, not much they cam really do with that info other than try to fish more info about you.. public records already makes those info available to anyone.. now if they asked when you married.. when u bought a house.. when and where you took out a loan or mortgage.. where you live at or worked at at specific years for example.. thats when you get worried.. cause those are the real info they need in order to verify your identity from credit bureaus.. xD.. other than that.. providing id really is nothing to be worried about..
