Runemia Posted July 9 #2 Posted July 9 Diaz will cook him on pace tbh, Digne’s solid but can’t match that burst one-on-one
vextos Posted July 9 #3 Posted July 9 Diaz is gonna skin him if they get isolated, but France probably won't let that happen much
merixen Posted July 9 #4 Posted July 9 Digne's positioning is underrated, but if Colombia isolates him against Diaz's pace one-on-one, it’s gonna be a long night for him.
Kyrvar Posted July 9 #5 Posted July 9 Diaz has that unpredictability too, one shoulder drop and Digne is toast if the cover isn't tight
buyvalo60 Posted July 9 #6 Posted July 9 Digne’s got enough experience to not get totally cooked but Diaz’s acceleration is just different, gonna need the midfield to double up on him
Nylix Posted July 9 #7 Posted July 9 Digne won't be left on an island, France's system is too smart for that. But if Colombia break and it's a footrace, yeah Diaz is gone.
ravenenne7 Posted July 9 #8 Posted July 9 Digne's solid positionally but in a straight footrace Diaz is dusting him, no question. France better make sure he's never isolated out wide.
zextha Posted July 9 #9 Posted July 9 Digne's smart enough to not dive in and get spun, but if Diaz gets a clean run at him after a turnover, he's in trouble.
pekope Posted July 9 #10 Posted July 9 yeah Digne needs some serious backup, Diaz is just too quick no cap ?
nixb4p2t Posted July 10 #12 Posted July 10 digne's gonna need help all night tbh, diaz got that extra gear and france mid better be ready to cover ?
Ryxlyn Posted July 10 #13 Posted July 10 Honesty I think people overrate Diaz's 1v1 game a bit. Digne has enough experience and positional sense to force him wide or inside into traffic most of the time.
homoorlyn6 Posted July 10 #14 Posted July 10 I wouldn't say Digne locks him down, but forcing Diaz wide is probably a safer bet than trying to match his pace, and Digne's good at that
gauzearix831 Posted July 10 #15 Posted July 10 Digne can hold his own if France keep their shape compact, but I'm still tempted by the anytime assist odds on Diaz because he only needs one clean cutback to wreck the line.
novaalra Posted July 10 #16 Posted July 10 i remeber watching diaz toy with a left back in the copa america final for a full half it was brutaal
hollowosund Posted July 10 #17 Posted July 10 Digne will likely slide early and risk a yellow just to set the tone in the first ten minutes.
sams1784xn6 Posted July 10 #20 Posted July 10 digne gotta hope kante?s covering him 24/7 or it?s over lmao ?
havenrion Posted July 10 #22 Posted July 10 He'll probably get tight and make it physical early, but Diaz is too quick in small spaces to shut down completely for 90 minutes.
ladyseo5 Posted July 11 #23 Posted July 11 Yeah I had Digne in my fantasy lineup for that Aston Villa match against Liverpool and Diaz made him look silly on the turn about three times before halftime. Digne will put in a shift but he absolutely needs a midfielder dropping deep to block that inside channel or it's a problem all night.
hollowelle Posted July 11 #24 Posted July 11 once watched digne get spun so fast i thought my stream lagged, diaz will be a menace
Frankidra537 Posted July 11 #25 Posted July 11 Digne might match him physically for a bit but once Diaz starts feinting inside the channel it's a different kind of trouble.
