Do you think the "greatest" means most rings or more like who pushed the whole league forward, caue Shula’s unbeaten season always gets slept on and he coached forever without ever having a losing record somehow.

Everyone forgets Paul Brown literally invented film study and the modern playbook, without that foundation Walsh or Belichick wouldn’t have had a starting point

hard to argue against belichick's rings but i always felt like don shula gets slept on a bit that consistent excellence across different eras with totally different rosters was insane

Everyone fixates on rings but i kinda think Don Shhula deserves more love, the guy had the only perfect season and sustained success across two completly different eras of the sport without leaning on a single quarterback his whole career

Vince Lombardi straight up owned those championsips with a playbook everyone saw coming, the power sweep was basically a cheat code that still worked in bad weather when the odds were stacked against him

Rings alone don't tell the whole story, I'd take Walsh's lasting schematic fingerprints over Belichick's trophy case because everyone still runs his concepts but nobody can replicate the Patriot Way without Brady.

I'd pick Walsh over Lombardi cause one innovated the entire passing game and the other just perfected power runnin

"Just". Using the word just followed by perfected? hmm. Different styles but both respectable
