Kate Posted June 10, 2019 #26 Posted June 10, 2019 To be honest after reading what mav said now to come to think PD it i guess that topping shouldn't be allowed since there is a possibility of alt abuse with tips.
nattekut Posted June 10, 2019 #27 Posted June 10, 2019 Mostly those who get muted beg in pm or chat for free money. So I think it doesn't bother cause they can't tip when they are muted. Those muted players just are beggars that never tip themselves

If tips were possiblewhile being muted, its as easy as having an ALT account and/or friend and/or partner and/or whatever to be able to transfer funds, chat and bet with no consequences at all on another account. Its not only that you can spam tips in chat as you mentioned. Being muted is a punishment, and its purpose its actually to make ppl learn what NOT to do next time. You are allowed to bet while being muted, and that is the main reason for being in Stake, so you can still have fun betting, post in forum, join the giveaways of forum and Discord, etc. its only punishment for the people who arent as rich as the more well of usesrs...... as its as easy as withdrawing to the alt account via withdraw to address of alt for 5k fee then it would be the same a if they just tipped like you mention what would have happend if tipping was allowed I dont see how it is a punnishment in terms of it preventing to transfer funds to as you said a friend or partner or alt via withdraw, they should bllock withdrawing as well if they are going to block tipping, or else as long as the user in question has more than 200k or min wd amount.... then its bypassable.... easily.. only the poor cant bypass it , so this rule kinda only hurts the poor... dont u t hink? its just logic
heisa Posted June 10, 2019 #29 Posted June 10, 2019 Thats good and also bad. From one side not being able to tip may encourage you to not get muted again. From the other side not being able to tip while being muted is pretty stupid in my opinion cuz you should be able to tip whenever but thats just my opinion
pfodo Posted June 10, 2019 #30 Posted June 10, 2019 Making private tip should be fine for muted. But I don't need this feature most of the time

I dont think that you can PM ithers when you are muted cause that would just be a bad idea to be not restricted once a person is muted because as you said beggars gonna start dm everyone.

Withdraws reaching destination are not. Its just logic that they are not the same. So for all mutes of 1, 2 or maybe even 3 hour lengths, it doesnt make much sense to withdraw, because depending on blockchain status, this evasion does not save you much time, and you have to pay for the time you save...... But I like your suggestion to block WDs too, so I will suggest that . No tips, no WDs, no PMs and no talking. If you think rich vs poor situation is unfair, you have plenty to do irl about it too. For example, a rich guy with a Ferrari maybe does not care paying $500 daily in speeding tickets and continues to do it, so the punishment was not good; and maybe one poor guy gets one of this speeding tickets and has to stop using his car until has funds to pay it. Maybe speeding tickets must have different amounts according to the amount of money you have in the bank to be "fair". How many countries use the "fair" system ?.
neich Posted June 11, 2019 #33 Posted June 11, 2019 If you get muted for something you did incorrect while chatting should reflect only in the chat and the activities related to the chat. I think that, the fact that you can`t do anything you want with your balance is not fair. I don`t see any particular reason for stake to prohibit any gambler to do what ever wants with its own balance.

How many countries use the "fair" system ?. yes and no.... oonly yes i found was that yes wd are not instant, and also yes, if tip should be not allowed then wd shouldnt be either, going half ass on it is not right, as it only has great affect in a neg way on those who dont have enuf to withdraw..... the rest essentially i dont agree with. especially the ferari part... because yes the ferarri owner may get a ticket pay 500 ... but in a lot of countries, if you get an x number of speeding tickets, they will take away your right to drive... so its as flawed of logic if any as you think it to be... i guess in the third world its common to just pay the police or get unlimited tickets if you can afford it, i know as i used to live in a country where it really didnt matter as long as you paid... but that changed already there... and the price goes up like first 10 then 100 then 1000 then 5000 for each ticket... but where i am now, its 3 max and you cant drive legally anymore... caught=jail... doesnt seem like you will understand the logic of just tipping to a alt or freind instead of tip, yeah i guess like 5 days out of the year the blockchain can be so bad that it outlasts the mute duration... before it confirms, but as long as it confirms before the mute is up, the whole logic of being able to wd on a mute is flawed... dont get me wrong i dont think they will ever make it like that, as they will get critisizm of withholding user funds... it wont ever happen... but im saying if you cant tip... then you shouldnt be able to wd.... but the correct solution would be./.... you shouldnt be able to tip in public... cmon @maverick528... ask yourself or devs, why it was even changed to not being able to tip if you are muted... it has nothing to to do with being punished cause of bad behaviour... it was solely due to the fact that there were tip spam abusers... those who wrote bots to tip to one user and automatically tip back... which was announced in the chatroom which just messed up the whole chat experience with spam from tip announcements... this is where the logic im talking about is flawed... the whole thing is in reality a unintended consequence or a "quick fix" from the dev side of this spam tip issue... if it was changed to only being able to tip in private it combats and solves all the problems anyways..
