Litecoin is one of the oldest Cryptocurrencies out there, and is still somewhat popular, after all the years.

But since its creation, Litecoin has always been compared to Bitcoin, and if it is better.

Is Litecoin better that Bitcoin?

Litecoin has faster and cheaper transactions than Bitcoin, while also having a more decentralized network. Bitcoin, on the other hand, is considered a better store of value, and oftentimes also a better investment. Bitcoin’s community is much more engaged, while Litecoin is increasingly being used on the dark web.

Now I would like to turn it over to you: Which Cryptocurrency do you like more? Bitcoin or Litecoin? Let me know in the comments below.

good question well ,personally i prefer bitcoin as seems safer and a more robust and stable currency although litecoin seems stable enough the price unstabilty ruins it for me however litcoin has a hell of a lot going for it with its lightning fast tranasctions speeds etc  :)

Each currency has its pros and cons. I like Ltc transaction speed and low transaction fee. I love bitcoin for its high cost. In the end, all coins are Bitcoin dependent.

Technically yes, Litecoin is better than Bitcoin. Cost wise Bitcoin is the Best. With the lightning network coming into existence Bitcoin is now way ahead of Litecoin. I like Litecoin because it has less fee as compared to Bitcoin. I like Bitcoin cause it has more Fiat value than any other crypto in the market.

Well if your points are only that, then you're saying that every other coin out there is better than bitcoin? xD

The thing is, what makes bitcoin great is its huge price and current popularity. Not all coins can achieve this, but there's no telling they won't. What I like about bitcoin is it's not as expendable as the other coins and will most likely be the last one to go out when this "crypto trend" is over.

Litecoin does cost less to send over the blockchain.

So it has this going for it. Plus the halving of the coin should bring more value to it.

hmmmmm there is nothing better than bitcoin. because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency in the world. even though the offspring has several advantages but it can't make alt coin better than bitcoin :)

I still prefer Bitcoin much more than using Litecoins outside of gambling especially when making purchases. Litecoin is used mainly just for gambling in my case. :)

I like using LTC for gambling and if I need to transfer some crypto fast. Then I sometimes convert my BTC to LTC and execute the transaction. I also have a bag of LTC in my long term holdings just because it is one of the most common and popular currencies but beside that I have no further affection with LTC. I hold about 50 different coins in my long term bags just for the money.... not for some technology or something else behind the currency

if you look at the costly value then yea ltc is better then btc.. but when it cones to value itself.. btc is better the ltc.. but forget those is all about dogecoins

Each coin has their own pros and cons. Bitcoin cash can also be arguable better than bitcoin, but it also has its disadvantages. Litecoin was a fork from bitcoin if I recall correctly. It could be faster than bitcoin, I will agree there.

Well on what terms tho ? Because there are a few pros and cons of various coins for litecoin faster transactions and less fees where as a pro for Bitcoin is high price.

in fact, both crypto currencies are still vulnerable to use on the black market. but I still like bitcoin it's easier to use bitcoin in every transaction anywhere, the price is higher, and of course the price can go up and down so fast :)

i think BTC is more popular rather than LTC. so many people knows about BTC but some people didnt know about LTC.

maybe its because BTC is commonly use for a transactions rather than LTC

I have said for so long that Litecoin will eventually pass up ETH & BCH in price and in popularity.

Not sure that it is better or will ever be better than bitcoin.

I think that bitcoin is better than litecoin because bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency and he has the largest market capitalization.

hello friends its true all coins have their own identity and also they are dependent to bitcoin value.also other than bitcoin some caoin have low transaction fee and first transfer to other wallets.bitcoin almost the age of bitcoin but its prices compared to bitcoin so less that's the one reasons for  users and investor are like bitcoin more than other coins.

It’s not better per-se, but rather has it’s own strengths like speed/lower tx fees/community support so it doesn’t (for example) cost us an arm and a leg just to send BTC from an exchange to our wallet. 🤯

I believe both can coincide alongside one another without much conflict of interest, well if nothing else LTC is BTC’s younger sibling after all and that’ll never change.

Litecoin is also a potential coin in the cryptocurrency market. But that's not a better coin than Bitcoin. some better coins that are XRP, DOGECOIN and NANO. because these coins are have fast transaction processing speed and very cheap

They both have their respective places within the market- I prefer the scale of the bets at 1.0 - BTC gets a little thin sometimes, as it is so condensed. :< i have no preference in terms of spending it elsewhere, all crypto is just a temp store of value, so whatever they want, go get it! xD

I can not say if Litecoin is better than Bitcoin or not, but in any case I like and use more litecoin, for the reasons mentioned above : faster and cheaper transactions.
Similarly, I use other altcoins more than bitcoin ... When I play with btc, I feel like losing my balance too fast
