vijaypondini Posted July 15, 2019 #1 Posted July 15, 2019 Personally I wonder why people do twitch giveaways. What is the advantage for them? All they get are some twitch users who come just for the rewards but never appreciate the channel. The twitch streamer needs to make quality content. I feel like users just go there to get the bitcoin. What is your opinion?
wngo123 Posted July 15, 2019 #2 Posted July 15, 2019 When you do giveaways on twitch with video you get paid by stake. When you go with your face on cam I think you get paid even more. At least that's how it used to be in the past. Not sure if something had changed. I didn't notice people don't appreciate streamers on twitch. Atmosphere is rather good and respectful. Some trolls can be found everywhere, so for sure there are accidental problems in the chat, but not that often as you describe. Looks like we have different experience with this.

I wouldn't doubt that players help out the players in charge of the Giveaways. @Shinjo for example I'm sure there are players that subscribe to his twitch channel which is what like $5 or something like that. Or maybe if he offers better benefits for the subscribers then more people would do so. There's always a system to the madness.
jkd123 Posted July 15, 2019 #4 Posted July 15, 2019 maybe they want to share their winning. just like when they making rain or tiping.
Hoffguy Posted July 15, 2019 #5 Posted July 15, 2019 i think it's just fun for them and they have nice time doing some giveaways and helping community out.
Aazzah Posted July 15, 2019 #6 Posted July 15, 2019 Hey vijaypondini! In my opinion... People do give aways on twitch to gain some recognition. And some do it for the fun and kindness of their heart but I feel like most of them do it for recognition/followers. This might probably not be the case but in my opinion. They do, Some streamers do it to keep people watching their streams. To ensure that they are entertained. And some streamers do it for a good reputation I think... anyway that's my thoughts on why people do giveaways. Have a good day!

I do not believe they still have the streaming incentives like they used to, but I may be wrong. There used to be a schedule and rewards set up here in the streaming section, but I don't think it's there anymore. As far as why they do giveaways? It does give them recognition and I also believe that Twitch rewards streamers based on content, viewers, etc. Stake also has been randomly sponsoring some giveaways during races while Shinjo has been streaming the race...
kaleemmalik071 Posted July 16, 2019 #8 Posted July 16, 2019 well i guess they are getting paid by stake . and the second reason some one just here for fun not for money . and the someones if win they share for their self satisfaction
jualid Posted July 16, 2019 #9 Posted July 16, 2019 Because honestly if no giveaways people will not watch the twitch stream. Giveaway is one of the reason why people watch the twitch stream. For the advantages, there are many like, you can get referrals from people who watch the stream. Also the streamers can get paid by stake if you have so many viewers, cmiiw.
wyj1306 Posted July 16, 2019 #10 Posted July 16, 2019 I honestly do not know how streamers pay for it, if they win just for their followers and Twitch views or something, at first I thought Stake would sponsor streamers, but I never knew if that was true.
Etude Posted July 16, 2019 #11 Posted July 16, 2019 If you are talking about why do most Twitch streamers do giveaways on their streams, I would say it is one of most used way to increase your channel's followers and also increase your fame as a Twitch streamer eventually with alot of followers and viewers .
yololife222 Posted July 16, 2019 #12 Posted July 16, 2019 Hey, some people belive in karma and they dont want that to happen to them so they give some rains and tips out. Some may just tip there friends for no absolute reason, or maby they tip to give loan back or some thing like that. But from personaly excperience i think wee give out tips to hawe fun in chat to make the chat alive again.
SLFJ Posted July 16, 2019 #13 Posted July 16, 2019 If streamers, then they get sponsored by stake to make giveaways, if normal people rain or tip alot then I believe it's just an ego thing, but some people are actually generous, like: Paecga129, Tomki, 47Ronin, Eddie, rack001, Faris, GKD09, sorry couldn't name them all cause I don't remember all of the g's, but I'll edit if I do remember anyone else, I kinda think that muted people should be unmuted, well some of them, like cheezecakezytt. She is actually generous but is muted because of 1 stupid thing which she should be unmuted of.
GKD09 Posted July 16, 2019 #14 Posted July 16, 2019 By streamers I think most of the mods and other streamers have been streaming for quite a while (even before I joined so idk when), and since it promotes Stake to the users outside in Twitch too, so they have probably given an amount to keep the users hungry i guess. I respect all streamers and if I don't really like one I'd probably not come or like I used to, just stick around for some giveaways. I would never complain neither would I say anything bad about them - cus no one's forcing you to watch the steam. Most streamers, like any streamer would usually do giveaways, and that is solely to give the users that stick around and also new ones to join since they have a chance of winning. I personally think it attracts new users and if the user likes the streamer its a win win, which has happened to me over the years many many times. Streamers, get their money for streaming as well and that is based on the followers, subscribers and viewers I believe, so giveaways anyway help the streamer too
CheckTheTime Posted July 16, 2019 #15 Posted July 16, 2019 Well some people are just generous and wanted to donate their winnings! By doing that, they can also make their Twitch or YouTube more popular. The players would also get a chance of winning some free money, it is a win win situation after all. I also believe Stake pays people who advertise for them or being an affiliate.
hillowner45 Posted July 16, 2019 #16 Posted July 16, 2019 Its simple, to attract viewers to their channel and to get recognition and trust by the community and the owners. Gambling on Twitch isn't a popular niche, so using it for subscriptions, sponsors and followers is difficult. Its not impossible, there are a few successful ones but most likely they were there from the very beginning and starting a new stream a fresh is close to impossible without the right connections and network.

They do it to get more attention to their streams to gain followers which in turn gives them better options on their streams from what I understand
Kate Posted July 17, 2019 #19 Posted July 17, 2019 Because they want to help some people and knowing that a small tip from you can change someones life or possibly just put a smile on them then that is the best feeling thats why.
Kippo Posted July 17, 2019 #20 Posted July 17, 2019 For me it’s depends on how streamers entertained to the viewers. I just opened chat and typed giveaway keyword if that stream isn’t good entertaining
MadCryptoo Posted July 17, 2019 #21 Posted July 17, 2019 The giveaway is done to attract peoples to their steam channels. Some steamers doing the same to share their stratergies and some of their profit to start noob viewers. we also like to watch playing their games stratergies, plan, targets etc. As per me Knowledge sharing is bigger than their giveaways.
williamshennie9 Posted July 17, 2019 #22 Posted July 17, 2019 I think that streamers get paid to stream on twitch (or at least they used to in the past). Otherwise, they do it to get viewers and subscribers, which helps them earn a bit (though twitch subscriptions).
Sped Posted July 17, 2019 #23 Posted July 17, 2019 I don't understand this question? These people will do giveaways, these will attract people and potentially their alts which boosts their channel and increases its outreach. From there, people may become a subscriber because they like the channel, or to get extra sub luck in giveaways. This gives them more incentive to stream and more money to play with in the future. Then they are able to be sponsored by stake because of how large they grow, and then they are making money off of stake and off of their twitch, along with giving away money they got for free. This is a good idea, what is so confusing?
davinmark Posted July 17, 2019 #24 Posted July 17, 2019 i think its because Stake is pay them as a streamer on Twitch. and also i think we can get some money too from Twitch if we got so many subcribers and folllowers.
barbaris Posted July 17, 2019 #25 Posted July 17, 2019 I think that streamers receive a reward for this, because this is a kind of advertising campaign of a casino. And the casino probably encourages such users. But these are only guesses and I cannot give an exact answer.
