Maybe they live double life. They pretend to be poor on the forum and play hidden on stake as high rollers. They don't want the rest of us know. Maybe a lot of people here are highrollers

I was once wagering with 0.1 eth and I had so many people sending me a friend request, with something like $0.01 in their total wager. I do get how people are trying to grind out their balance and they aren't rich, but I am sorry that you have to beg, but you really aren't going to get anything from it. If i was wagering 0.01 BTC at a time, like some of the highrollers, I would personally want my bets to be hidden. I would just give a bit of crypto back to the mods / support team on the site in return of a session. They are the real people that deserve the tips because of how much hard work they put i !

That is the main reason in my opinion. But I can name some other reasons... such as, they want to be private because of other people want to spam them. And for the other reason is that they do not want to be tagged in chat and have to deal with all of the people pm begging the user. I do this sometimes because I want to be kept private. And I Do not want to be begged. No one wants to be begged to be fair. That's why they do it. To not be begged.
