Why do some people play as 'hidden'?

I do not understand why some people play as hidden. Why so much secrets? All we would know is just your nickname, not your real names and addresses. I don't see any point of playing as hidden. You are afraid of beggars? Is this the only reason? I think gambling should be as transparent as possible. Did you ever play hidden if yes explain your reasons maybe you can convince me that I'm wrong.

I play as hidden occasionally yea and it generally comes down to how social I feel because when you have your name in multiple spots on the high roller tab expect random friend invited over and over again

to avoid beggars, and to avoid fame, when you get famous you will attract fake friends, want to be friend to get all your money

I feel the same way.  I occasionally go Hidden just so I can concentrate on playing without having to deal with all of the distractions that occur when not hidden.

People play hidden because they not want other users know him because some time they lose some time win then other users distrb them so that's a big reason they play on hidden because when anyone win some big they received so many requests during playing and then they face some problems there game

I think that the reason is in the beggars, and so that they do not bother with their messages about asking for money, many people use the Hidden function. Because the poor are sometimes very persistent and arrogant and do not understand that here people play and relax, and do not give out money to the needy.

It's obvious for anyone that has ever hit big while being visible. Everyone feels entitled to your wins. The more friends you have, the worse it is.

They play hidden I think there's a lot of beggars, but they ignore that beggars if they want.

I do not play hidden because I am not a great gambler and this is not necessary, but if I were a great gambler of those who play in HR I would play hidden, because it would avoid friend requests and unnecessary messages from some people, because I see this happening a lot with the people who are in HR.

i think if any reason for me to set "hidden" maybe only for privacy, especially if my bet wil come into highroller page there are make me comfort. At least not anyone will comment in my local chat room, more quite situation than you didn't hide your nickname. Lol

Well, if you aren't hidden and you are active in chat you will get much friend requests of beggars who might disturb your session, and as someone said you'll attract fake friends.

Because it sucks getting hit up by all the passive beggars, and users that will pretend to be your friend for a few tips .. when I have ghost-mode off, I get friend requests without entering chat, or participating at all. People will watch your bets, and they will approach you, and you will have no idea what is on their minds.. at least, if you are naive as I was. =)_=

for me not only avoiding beggars, but also avoiding scammers and hackers. I once got a big profit, in a few hours I got a profit of 0.04 btc more. many beggars send PM to me to ask for coins, not only that there are scammers who offer strategies and provide links, if we click on it, maybe all the info about our account will be taken and they will easily enter our account, therefore there is it is better to hide ourselves to avoid things that are not desirable

In my opinion, getting a fake friend knowing that you are a High Rollers at that time is not very good. Avoid things like that + avoid Hackers and Scammers.  and I am reluctant to report something small problems like a Beggars to Live support (if you feel disturbed, you are just Ignore the beggar)

Its obvious that is only because of beggars, soon there will be only hidden players in top 10 race etc  

I still dont understand why do people think they will get something for begging,

this is not streets when you can beg and get something for free

There are more highrollers hidden than little player, I mean, only the highrollers are hidden because of beggars... So to not get bored by the beggars they bet on Hidden. If you don't want to show your bets, you can still play in Hidden.

Might be for beggars. They want to stay away from beggars. Many user at gambling sites try to beg from the high roller or from those who winning big. And their activities also disturb for playing the game. Like.. you are playing big in hr. You need much concentration in your game so that you won't lose and play safely. But some stupid people click on hr name and send them friend request, if they are already friend they send message. Those things surely disturb them. And cause bust also if you lose concentration. That's why many people want to hide. Maybe they have faced problem for this before.

i used to be a high roller many times in the past, when people see you wagering and winning much they will start spamming you in PM's and sending you friend requests, they also scream out your name in the public chat, sometimes my devices was getting laggy because of that, i losse focusing on my playing, it gets annoying and i start losing. so yeah it bothers alot buddy. the best thing to do in this case is to hide your bets, and play annonymosly

maybe some people don't want to be known among other gamblers maybe because of a privacy or they don't want to be attacked pm by other players, I rarely use hidden bet because I think it's too complicated to use hidden bet

I believe it's because other people may beg that user for coins not knowing the whole time it was the person you were just talking to but you have no clue which is like a safe guard for that user.

biggest reason for hidden betting is to avoid beggars and random friend requests. i would prefer to play hidden too but sadly with hidden bets u arent able to catch rains.:D

Some people bet so highly or erratically that people wanting free coin will add them, mention them in chat, passively tip them. 

I know as someone who's been on the HR tab a few times, it can really be annoying.

Many people play hidden for exactly the reason you stated in the question, to be saved from spammers and scammers sending them friend requests and messaging them when they are rolling. Or to hide from their friends if they ask for a loan. Gambling should neither be transparent nor private. It should depend on the gambler and he has every right to stay hidden. It's another sentence-twist topic. Ooof.
