Seoulmate Posted September 11, 2019 #1 Posted September 11, 2019 I am frequently told by players that "I can't beat the house" this is not true. It is true that the players can't beat the house, but that statement is not true when it comes to the individual player. Individual players can and do beat the house, ask any casino owner about this. The language of the casino reflects the casino's long term outlook (which is where they make their money), so they refer to all the individual players collectively as the "Players". The casino designs their games and game strategies to beat the "Players" over the long term. The house edge ensures that this happens. However we are individuals and are not concerned so much with averages over the long term. As individuals we stand alone and are more concerned with our personal gains or loses. The casino is fair, to the "Players" but not necessarily to the individual player. Return to player (RTP) is calculated so that on average a fixed percentage is returned to the "Players". The house edge for a game like Dice on Stake is 1%, so over time 99% on average is returned to the Players. The reality is that some individual players will win a lot more than 99% of their stake and others will lose a lot more than 1%. The house will always beat the players, but a single player can beat the house, if they know when to walk away.

Seoulmate Posted September 11, 2019 Author #3 Posted September 11, 2019 If you are brave enough to all in your bank roll and you are lucky enough to win that bet, I would think that is the perfect time to leave. I remember seeing a promo for a TV show, in which people sold everything they owned, house, car, wife etc. then flew to Vegas and put everything on red or black! either doubling their money or losing absolutely everything they had. I never saw the actual TV show but I often think of it when I see a roulette wheel.

I remember seeing that on youtube, the guy was an extreme adventurer or something like that, lived to take risks his entire life. I won't spoil it for you but you can probably find it on youtube. The clip even came with a don't try this at home warning 😆
wry Posted September 15, 2019 #5 Posted September 15, 2019 Yes, I am a big fan of hitting it and quitting it. Set a win target, hit it, and leave. However, the problem then becomes, then what? You probably enjoyed winning, you return, and you still face that house edge. So what you are saying is true, any one individual can end up lifetime up against the house, but the more you play the more you look like a statistical "player" to the house. The good news is that Stake's advantages are so low, only 1% for most games that players do have much more of a chance to come about ahead. Just remember, every time you play you are engaging in a negative expected value situation that can add up. Good Luck!
Ali saher Posted November 13, 2019 #6 Posted November 13, 2019 Yes I think on stake you easily beat house edge because on stake house edge is very low just 1 percent I saw some sites house edge very high like 5 percent I just do when I lose I increase my bet amount and when I win I leave game
Dp10011 Posted February 20, 2020 #7 Posted February 20, 2020 Right! In the long run we will always be at a disadvantage. The insistence and long exposure to the game only contributes to increase the casino's profits and gradually defeat the players! And that is an indisputable fact! It is a pity that we cannot see all the profit profiles of those who attend the stake, as we would notice that the vast majority are in the red and losing a lot of money.
Nicol3 Posted February 22, 2020 #8 Posted February 22, 2020 You got your point there buddy! The thing is I doubt if more players like us have the discipline to walk away when winning. It is a natural human reaction to be somehow greedy after a big win. We tend to crave for more and do not get satisfied at all. How I wish this would seem to be true but most often than not I am unable to beat the house given this small percentage that Stake implements to the games. How can I leave my favprite game and choose another game I don't even desire to play? Lol
