iamsheikhadil Posted September 17, 2019 #1 Posted September 17, 2019 All major religions forbid game of chances. I can see their reasons behind it. They say it's sin, it's unlawful since a bet can't decide if you are worthy of money and that depending on luck is bad thing. And they encourage hard work. But in my religion, it's one of the greatest (top 3) sin. Sometimes I get scared for my afterlife lol. I repent and all. But am addicted. And as long as I keep in limit, I know I won't be harmed much whats your opinion?
sheenazbay Posted September 17, 2019 #2 Posted September 17, 2019 please don't talk about religion, if you know about sin, why do you gamble? if everything we do in this world we associate with religion, then everything will be wrong, stop discussing religion if you want to gamble
zulfandina Posted September 18, 2019 #3 Posted September 18, 2019 when it comes to sin, I think everyone commits sin, whether intentional or not ... at least we as gamblers only have one sin, which is gambling alone ... from what I have noticed, many gamblers here spend almost the whole day hunting for victory in gambling, in other words, the gambler is just in front of his laptop, not going anywhere ...
675675 Posted September 18, 2019 #4 Posted September 18, 2019 sin is when you do not respect yourself and other people take money from them and lose, but if your money and you are able to control yourself it is not a sin

You are right ... if everything in this world is associated with religion, then everything we do is largely sinful ... especially those of us who are now in the world of gambling.
Thepug Posted September 19, 2019 #6 Posted September 19, 2019 I’m pretty sure that you will have a more positive afterlife, if you live a good life and you do everything to make sure that it is fulfilled. At the end of the day, a serial killer isn’t going to have a great afterlife because they never gambler in their life. Just make sure that whenever you gamble, it doesn’t have an effect of the lives of the people around your life.

Its not always good to say that you fulfilled something and go to the "Positive afterlife" , what if that person fulfilled all his wrong/bad deeds and was happy about it.hmm.. its better to say if you did good things to people and to yourself. Thats right at the end of the day a dog is a dog, again with those "great or positive" well whatever it is i know what you mean just saying its kinda odd to say this ...and " they never gambler in their life" pffff ahaha.. well im done 😋 ahahhaa

It depends a lot on how seriously you take your religion, if it doesn't allow it, and you keep betting, so you don't put your religion above all.
nhoyasim101 Posted September 20, 2019 #9 Posted September 20, 2019 the freedom of choice was a great gift form our almighty he did not created human like a robot. sin is those who commit crime's, adultery, etc, etc, etc. now if you gamble your own extra money but not the money for your family primary budget, foods, cloths, school, etc etc etc. then i ddnt see any mistake on it, maybe if you scam someone or steal/sale money/properties just to fulfill your gambling addiction then you are committing sin. discipline in gambling is the main ingredients in our gambling life.
cryptofly Posted September 20, 2019 #10 Posted September 20, 2019 It is much better be addicted to gambling than to religion......quit the religion....only wars and misfortune are there. There is not a religion (main religions) where women can be part of the highest levels, and that doesn´t make any sense. Answering the question of this topic I just can say that maybe because many gamblers do it without control making problems to their environment by owing, losing or worst, killing, so this is enough for the Religion to try to stop it by telling everybody that is forbidden like if God or Jesus or whatever name you want would gamble some day...they don´t know a shit, same as priest who are trying to talk about husband behave when they have never been married....is just an example....what else can say a fly.... good luck and quit religion.

Not really at all. I assume you are an atheist. I clearly said though that you can be a gambler and religious at the same time! You can gamble, make money, give a part of it to charity, repent and use the money wisely. It's necessary to have limits in gambling and if that limit comes from religion, then that's alright. For many, that limit comes from family. So you will say "quit family, family is bullshit?!" I don't think so.

SLFJ Posted September 20, 2019 #13 Posted September 20, 2019 Yeah, I mean it's reasonable.. In our country it isn't forbidden.
Mahdirakib87 Posted September 20, 2019 #14 Posted September 20, 2019 Gambling isn't a good thing at all. And people engage with many bad work for gambling. We know a lot of thing is bad and doing those thing is great sin. But we still do. Bad human nature.
