Enzo Posted September 24, 2019 #1 Posted September 24, 2019 I think for anyone who ISNT racing, it's a terrible idea to bet during them. I don't know why but it always seems like races cause me to bust no matter what. Even if I'm not racing and I'm just betting normally, I still end up busting in a race. I think most people would agree that races seem to bring bad rolls. It's obviously not true because it's not possible without manipulating the rolls, but it really does seem like it sometimes. For example, the last 2 hours I have been playing, worked 660k up to 1.2m sats and just as soon as race started, without changing my strategy or way of playing, I ended up ripping almost all of it. Now, some of that may be caused due to my rage betting after losing my initial big bet, but it's irrelevant to the fact that I did 6 bets like that before the race and won every one, as soon as the race started I lost one. This probably just sounds like alot of complaining that i lost but whatever, tell me what you think? Is it a good idea to bet during races if you aren't racing? Or should non-racers take a break during them?

I did bet during a race earlier today and I found I was getting so many hits, thought I don't think it's races being the case, I do tend to see me being particularly lucky at one point of time and horribly unlucky the other.

When the race starts, i dont even really think about the prize, because i can play safer and make more, but during race, i just want to win or place top 5 just because! lol.

Or should non-racers take a break during them? It's probably a placebo effect and probably you had a bad luck during the race which is totally co incidental. As you said, without manipulation it can't be possible. And we know stake is provably fair and so yeah, it can't manipulate hence the only conclusion is that it's probably due to total bad luck. But a peace of mind is important during gambling, so if anyone feels that a particular time is bad for gambling, they shouldn't gamble at that time as if might cause them panic more!

When you play in race then you play some risky game for fast increase your wegar and your position and you make some mistakes that's why result against you if you play your normal game I think you get good results in race

I initially didn't believe that, but after several times I played while the race was going on, I always messed up my balance, even though I didn't participate in the race

Actually sometimes even I got position below 100 during the race I didn't even participate, I was just betting normally and actually very slow and then I took the break and still got positon in first 100 people. lol

I do not run the races and I always bet during them, and honestly I see no difference, for me it is still difficult. Maybe it's just your impression. Good luck on the stakes.

sahil777 Posted October 14, 2019 #14 Posted October 14, 2019 maybe enzo some people think in that way, but i betted many times during race, and i didnt even thought about race, i just played my normal game, because i knew i havent enough amount to compete with others in race, so why i had to that mistake, i always forget about race and play my own normal game.

Even if it doesn't directly cause us to lose, being negative about something does affect the way we play, thus contributing more to losses. For me, races don't affect me because regardless of what's happening, I always seem to be losing... 😖
