Racing and profit

Since Stake started doing races, I have seen the amount that people wager in it increasing and the race rewards stay the same.

You could easily wager 1 BTC and get first in the race, with a reward of 0.03 BTC. Since then, every race can have 6-80 BTC wagered for first place, meaning that they are only getting back a smaller percentage of their wager in race prizes. I just feel like it is less about the race rewards and some people would wager for first, no matter how much it costs them.

So, do you think that daily races are still profitable?

Maybe reward for them is not that important as wagering for statistics so they can get higher VIP level and get all those benefits? This would make more sense and getting race reward while doing so doesn't hurt either :)

I think many of those who bet large amounts of btc during races should not even be wondering what positions they will be in, and if a person betting from 6 to 80 btc will not be so pleased with those 0.03 btc of prize.

Daily race and Mega race is always profitable for the people who wager a lot
For I don't mind the price of Races because Rakeback is to much when you wager to much too
also your VIP status will increase and Increase when you wager a lot

This is just profitable for big players because they have so much funds and they easily get top position and small player I think this race not profitable because they have small balance and they try to go up position and mostly lose balance doing this I think if you have good balance then race give you some profit

I was just thinking about this recently.

Since races were introduced, it has mostly been increased in terms of frequency and hype. Most players would play during races in hopes of getting a good position or even just benefitting from getting the frequent rains during that period of time.

To get top 3 or 5, one would have to be insanely lucky and maintain a good streak during the 2 hours (thus being able to martingale and increase your wager), already possess a stacked bankroll in order to get up the leaderboards...

Having the knowledge of what games to play, how to wager etc. can only get you so far. Luck or having a huge bankroll are still key to attaining prizes during races.

Then, there comes the other part of it. Since the 1st place is rewarded with a 60% cut of the prize pool, with the rest getting lesser and lesser, it doesn't make sense to even gun for any race prize unless you can get at least top 10. The truth of losing more with wagering than actual profiting from the prizes is very real  if you are unable to get a 10th position at least.

It's very similar to the real world (lol), whereby people with financial power and large amounts of resources will always profit more than those stuck in the majority. Simply put, most of the time we are just feeding them with our losses and even when we don't, they don't need to play by our rules to be at the top of the leaderboards either.

I don't know for sure because I never participated in races. I just focus on playing and playing, and focus on making profit. I'm used to playing with a high multiplier with a small bet, of course my wager will also be a little and impossible to compete in a race
